SOURCE: Husqvarna YTH2448 engine leaking oil

That sounds like the sump gasket is leaking, sometimes the briggs machining at the sump and head areas are a little rough and a bad fit can allow the gasket to blow,if it is leaking it is actually sucking air in rather than pushing oil out while it is running. You would have to drain oil, remove the engine turn it upside down, remove the oil pump cover plate( 3 small screws) pull oil pump rotor and drive shaft out, remove sump bolts, replace gasket and reassemble.Be sure to use a light coat of gasket sealer like black silicone.

I have a 2003 f250 6.0. big oil leak

Either the rear intake gasket is leaking,or the oil sending unit.It sounds more like a oil sending unit.It will have one wire going to it.It will most likely have oil all over it,and around it.With the amount of oil you are talking 275877.jpg,it would almost have to 833439.jpg the problem. It would look similar to these. Please let us know if this helps.thank you.

Driving home from work I started to smell and see smoke in cab

If you have recently changed or had the oil changed I would suspect a bad filter or the old oil filter gasket still on the filter boss and a new filter with an additional gasket installed on top of the old gasket. Usually in a short time the old filter gasket will blow out causing a massive oil leak. To locate the leak fill the engine back to the full mark with oil and start it and look for the leak.

Oil passing into cooling system

I would assume the truck is an automatic. If the oil is red in color or pink in the radiator then you may hae an oil cooler leak. The auto tranny cools the oil by passing the oil through the radiator in tubes. If these tubes are leaking you would experience the oil leaking in to the radiator. The other worse scenario would be that you have a cracked cylinder wall that is leaking motor oil in to the crankcase. Good luck

Oil smell in cab

Get under there and look to see where oil is escaping. Oil, like everything else runs downward. Therefore it may be coming from the top of the engine. If you have a 4.0, the valve covers are plastic and tend to leak a bit... Generally you can gently (or you will break them off) tighten the v/c fasteners and eliminate most if not all of the seepage. If it continues, replace the gasket. There is only one seal between trans and engine, called a rear main seal. It is better left alone. It's a big job and best done by a shop.
