Question about GE (PSS26MSRSS) Side by Side Refrigerator

GE Profile refrigerator cooling system failure

The light to my fridge is on, but the cooling system display panel is not lit up and the cooling system is not working, our food has started to thaw. I pressed the "colder" button like the owners manuel suggested, and I unplugged and replugged.  Id love to fix this on my own without paying a tech to come out.  Any suggestions?

Replace the mother board. Part will run aprox. $185. Get a new one, in a factory sealed box. Easy to replace, just take the rectangular cover off the back and transfer the multi plugs. Takes about 10 minutes.

Usually it means your temps are too high.. If you don't notice any cooling issues it could be just a glitch. Try unplugging your fridge for 15 minutes to reboot it..

This is a common problem with the GE Profile. In most cases this is caused by failure of the motherboard. If you would like a manual, part numbers and assistance on how to repair please let me know because the instructions are detailed and a lot to Wright if you are only wanting to know what is wrong. A clicking sound was coming from behind my fridge and the temp display was not working. digital display. the light in the fridge comes on but the fridge is not working What could it be?

You have a bad main control board , located on the back of the refrig , behind an 8" X 10" panel . Part number WR55X10942 . This control board , usually clicks when the compressor tries to start , or when the compressor cooling fan tries to start . It also controls the display .
