Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I've had a similar problem that neither HP, McAfee, or I could solve. This problem "No HP devices detected. HP solutions Center will close now." The problem occured when I downloaded McAfee "Total Protection" product. It's a good thing I only installed it on my PC and not my laptop, because my PC could no longer find my HP C7250 Photosmart printer. My Control Panel, Printers and FAX item showed only a "print to PDF file" item, where before the McAfee "Total Protection" download, my printer worked very well. The only way I could print was to email my files to the laptop and print them to the C7250.
HP's troubleshooting site has a lengthy procedure to add print drivers and TCP outbound and UDP inbound ports. McAfee Internet Security Center, version 9.0, doesn't support adding "outbound" or "inbound" ports, only local ports. I worked with HP solution site until they told me to politely "get lost", and go to the McAfee site for a fix. HP's final statement was "Use McAfee's 'Network Management' configurator to 'Allow Full Access' to the printer. After what seemed like endless McAfee "chat" sessions, I was no closer to solving my printing problem, but it was certainly McAfee's download and install of "Total Protection" that caused it. Finally McAfee directed me to their telephone call center number for further help. I spoke to a customer service person around 6:30 PM, Friday; they close for the day at 7:30 CDT, and only have hours M-F. I got no good help from McAfee on this problem or even a hint that a solution may be close. Sunday morning, and I guess out of patience after spending 5 days trying to solve this problem, I uninstalled my HP C7250 Photosmart printer from my PC, and reinstalled it using the CD install set that came with the printer. My printer connected right away and was shown as an item in Control Panel, "Printers and FAX" item. Printing from my PC now has been OK for 6 hours.
Ok the next time this happens i'll tell you what to do.
add the ports as exceptions to the windows firewall in control panel and make sure the windows firewall is on even if mcafee has to be turned off.
Then click on start and click on run
in the run window type services.msc
now you shall find all the applications that run on your computer.
go to mcafee and then right click each mcafee service and select stop.
now look for hp cue and hp network device(if the printer is in a network mode)
the status should say started and automatic (not automatic delayed start)
if anyone says automatic delayed start double click whichever the device is and in the drop down menu where it says automatic delayed start select automatic and click on ok.
now try to install your printer and install your printer after the above is done.
By the way i have had customers come across this problem.
I am a supervisor for hp call in customers.
if you face any issue call in to us at 1800-474-6836 and
either I(Nalin) or an agent will help resolve your concern.
Now if u ever face this issue again
insert your cd and exit out of the autoplay menu.
open my computer right click your cd drive and select open.
go into the folder called "util"
then go into the folder called "ccc"
now find a file called l1 uninstallation and run that after the uninstallation is finished it will ask you to restart your computer.
once that is done insert the cd once again do all the above in the first paragraph.
then click on add a device and now your printer will work.
what you are doing above is instead of uninstalling the whole software your
only uninstallling the drivers that have been blocked by mcafee.
so once you finish the installation and restart your computer then mcafee will add your printer ports automatically to your list of exceptions and your printer will never stop working.

Whenever this problem comes up in the future and the printer is not showing in the control panel, you need not uninstall the whole printer s/w,but instead you can insert the CD and then click on add a device,it sometimes happens that printers take a dynamic IP address and do not show up.f you want further support you can avail free online technical support on http://tinyurl.com/m7ghqz
