There is a switch at the rear brake pedal and at the front brake handle.
Disconnect the wire from both to check witch one is bad.

Second point, are you sure it's the bracke light and not running light?
There is a position on your contact key where engine is of, but park-lights stay on...

Hyundai trijet just had abs ring changed on passenger front now abs light stays on and hand break light stays on. Help.

If a wire was broken replacing the reluctor ring, this would be the ABS light. Not the brake light. Check the brake fluid, check the E brake pedal/handle. The rings do break, I just weld them back in place. If they are gone, it gets a new axle.

Brakelights stay on

Are you talking about the brake lights in the back, or the brake warning light on the dash ?
If the warning light is on, have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder ? Is the parking brake on ?

Brake light stays on all the time

There are two brake light switches on your bike. One for the front brake and it's located in the right handlebar switch housing and a pressure switch that is usually underneath the bike somewhere for the rear brake. You can find the rear brake light switch by following the metal brake line that comes out of the rear brake master cylinder until you come to a switch with some wires on it. On the older bikes, you could unplug the wires to see which switch was holding the light on. If the brake light goes off when you unplug the wires, it's this pressure switch that has the light held on. If the light stays on, it is the front brake light switch. On your bike, check for looseness in the front brake lever. If the lever and pin are worn, this will cause the lever to not depress the switch in the side of the switch housing facing the front brake lever. Your front brake switch may be broken. Odds are that the front brake switch is the one causing the problem.

Good Luck

Whyis my break light staying the bike is a 2006

The front brake light switch in located in the throttle switch housing. When you pull the front brake lever, it pivots and allows the switch to make. Sometimes the brake master cylinder and the front switch housings move and cause this problem. Loosen the master cylinder bolts holding it onto the handlebars and make sure it's slid down tight against the throttle switch housing.

If this doesn't solve the problem, you may have an electrical problem that you'll have to trace out and find the problem. You'll need a wiring diagram for this. There are two switches in the system that controls the light. I've already talked about the front switch. The rear brake switch is a pressure switch located somewhere along the metal line that comes out of the rear brake master cylinder. Sometimes these switches go bad but rarely. Having an electical problem on a bike this new is unusual as well. I don't have a wiring diagram for this model. Good Luck.

Rear brake light stays illuminated on my trail bike

you will have to check the switch which should be situated at the back of the pedal . the switch may be over tight and causing the light to come on .
Check also that the wiring may be swapped as the tail light may be using the brake lightbulb .

hand break switch was broken (inside the wire housing) not allowing the hand break lever to deactive, therefore causing the brake system to stay on.

Brake lights

The taillight should be on at all times. The brakelight should come on when the front or rear brakes are applied. Start by disconnecting the front brake light switch then the rear to see which switch is broken. Also check the bulbs. I have seen them short out internally. The filament inside the bulb break and contacts the other circuit.
