Open power control box check to see if voltage coming in. also check fuses. check voltage before transformer and after see if voltage is correct if you put in new fuses disconnect the heater element and the recirculation pump plug one in at a time to see if it blows fuses

I just wired my hot tub into my new house. And GFCI keeps tripping?

Still would go with Miswired.
if this is an auxiliary GFCI Spa Disconnect,
240 VAC, 50 Amp, then...
All of the following needs to be this way:
  • 4 wires from MAIN Circuit panel, into GFCI disconnect box, 2 hots, 1 Neutral, 1 ground
    • 2 hots go onto the disconnects Power Bus Bar for breaker
    • 1 white Nuetral goes to Isolated nuetral bus bar
    • 1 green Ground goes to ground lug directly on the box
  • 1 GFCI in the auxiliary disconnect box
    • The White Pigtail of the GFCI Breaker goes onto the Isolated Nuetral bus bar. There are now two wires there.
  • 4 wires come into box from Spa. (Unless the spa is Specifically a 3 Wire Connection Spa!)
    • 2 Hot/Line wires will go into the L1 & L2 lugs of the breaker respectively.
    • 1 White Nuetral Wire will go into breaker as well at the "Load Nuetral lug, usually marked as 'LN'.
      • It will NOT go on the Isolated Nuetral bus bar.
    • Green Ground wire will be connected to ground lug, 2 wires are now connected there.
  • Connections at spa will be respectively connected: the 2 hots on line 1 and line 2. White wire goes to Nuetralnd green ground will go to a Ground Lug, most likely to metal control box.
If it's not wired in this manner, it is wired WRONG.

I recently switched some breaker around in my fuse box. There were a few 110's and 220's not being used. I deleted those to make some room to put a larger amp breaker for my hot tub that been sitting

Try for what ?

You removed breakers not needed or ones with little
on them, to make room for a larger 50 amp Hot Tub
Breaker,so you got your hot tub powered up

What is the question, seems you solved the issue
by making room for the new breaker !

Purge line

The breaker the manual is referring to will be the main circuit breaker at the panel.
If the system is not running the purge cycle as it is supposed to and turning the power on and off does not reset the control box then it is likely that the control box has a bad part in the circuity and should be replaced.

I have a Dream Maker X400 hot tub that wasn't used for a year or so, I replaced all of the jet heads and filled it - when I started it the light starting flashing on and off with a clicking sound coming...

Hello, and thanks for the question. Your error code is actually "SN" not "5N" but they are sometimes difficult to discern on the LCD topside display. The SN error code is for a Non-functional High temperature sensor which automatically kicks the heater off and trips the breaker. You can purchase new sensors for $75-$85 (it could be more, my pricing index is quite a few years out of date) I'm not sure where the sensor is located in that particular tub, although it is most likely in the heating canister. Make sure the power is off at the breaker before attempting any tub repair. if you have shut-off valves to the heating canister you may not have to drain the tub, remove the heating can and replace the sensor you will have to plug/unplug the sensors from the power pack/circuit board. I hope this helps =)

Dedicated 20 amp outlet

Ideally you should run the line straight from the circuit breaker out to your hot tub, but if the line running from your circuit breaker to the box you're using now is 20amp. you can absolutely connected to that. to be up to code it cannot be an open box it needs to be closed After you wire in your 70ft connection. (that's assuming the box that you're using is dedicated already to your hot tub) then the only difference would be is your using extra line and costing you tenths of a penny extra and electricity per hour.

What's youI just wired in my J-300 Jacuzzi hot tub. The GFI trips every time I reset it. I took the GFI out of the equation and the tub runs fine, does not trip the breaker at the main breaker box

#1. DO NOT GET INTO TUB FULL OF WATER WITH A GROUND FAULT.
2. There is a short. You need to get multimeter and start checking each part for current running to ground wire.
3) Power is ON. Connect power without GFCI.
4) Tape tester leads to wood sticks to keep hands away from power.
5) Do not touch anything directly or you will become the ground rod.
6) Ground wire must be present, and bonded back to main panel box.
7) Do not sit or touch directly on cement or bare ground. Do not touch or lean into anything made of metal.
8) Body and parts must be on sheet of plywood, or similar non-conductive dry surface.
9) Test each part with spa, but also test electric line coming from main box.
10) GFCI will also trip with any fault detected on line. So the wire coming to spa may have the fault.
11) Add a new dedicated line from main box to spa.

My electric went out for 24 hours. I hooked up my generator to the breaker box to power the house. The generator only powers one 110 leg so there would have been 110 going to oneside of the 220 breaker to...

You should start with checking all your breakers to be sure the breaker did not pop just half of your breaker. This is something you should do with all your breakers. When you do this you should shut down all your 220v breakers so you don't get bleed back through the system. Other than that you need to look for resets on the tub. The heater is a good place to start and don't forget the gfci's on the tub or in the bath or laundry room.

240 w/60 a outside breaker with test switch wont'

Inside the controller box is a red button to reset it but most likely the heater element is shorted out so replace the heater element first. Cost $100.00 at any pool or spa shop. Post here if you need more help.
