If the screen is blue, and when you press the menu button words come on the screen, you have no video (picture) information coming to the TV. Make sure that you have everything connected the same way that it was before.
If the screen is black there is probably a problem in the power circuits of the TV. If it was working properly before, try unplugging the TV overnight. When you plug it in tomorrow, take a deep breath and count to 10: if you have your fingers crossed and you make sure that you are holding your mouth just the right way, and you have a little bit of luck, it will have reset itself and a picture will come on.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/ http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
My 32' LG LED TV has suddenly lost picture! The sound is all right but the Screen is pitch black. After switching it on the picture flashes for a second and then the screen goes completely black.

Count the number of blinks before the pause and they start again. It's an error code. It might tell you where the fault lies so you don't waste money on fixing some part that isn't broken

2 things the easy fix would be the screen switch is jammed a little circle next to where the door close you will need to pry the switch out and the second fix (your backlight (inverter) is out (better off buying a new unit)
I hate to say that's a very open-ended question. If I were to solve it myself this is how i would check the TV.If it's giving you a black screen that probably means its not getting a video signal. 1. what source dosen't have picture?, try another source does it work 2. Try a different input on the TV 3. Try different cables to see if their bad 4. Try a different source
These steps should help you narrow down your problem. If the problem continues then you might have a bad switch board. That is very unlikely however.
