Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

How can I do to type sign @?

The Nakajima AE-740 has a secondary set of characters on the keys in the upper right. I suspect that this alternate set is currently enabled. Do you see a Downward triangle above KBII? If so, press and hold the Code key and then press 5. Release both keys and check if the Downward triangle has disappeared from the display. Now, you should get an @ when you press Shift and then type 2.

ManualLib has the manual for the AE-740 available, http://www.manualslib.com/manual/455216/Nakajima-Ae-740.html . The information on toggling the alternate key usage is on page 43 of the manual.

I hope this helps.

What is an illegal character?

illegal character is which is not recognized by the software. For instance, you have some box to type number, and you type something like $#@$. So these becomes illegal characters. Sometimes if you have copied some text from some other editor and pasted in such text box, it may say so even when you do not see anything out of place. This is when there exists some character which may be invisible to naked eye. Something like a special character like newline, tab etc. In such situations its recommended to hand type the text instead if possible.

How do I type my uk pound sign I have changed the language settings

The £ character is part of the font character set which changes when u change character sets.
If you want to stay with the language settings you have you must determine where the £ is in the character set.
My £ is produced when I enter ALT + 156. The character is in the upper 128 of characters. Number 156 to be exact. For the British KBD it is mapped to a key to make it a single keystoke.

Don't know how to type the third symbol on a keyboard key e.g. the little subtraction symbol on the right of the colon/semicolon is what I'm going for

Hello there brennerc.

Here's your GEEK-steer ...

Based on your description I'm not sure which character that is. Are you sure it's located on a standard keyboard? If not, it's what's known as an "extended" character, with which you'll need your Windows "Character Map" accessory to help you locate.

[Start > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map]
... or ...
[Start > Run... > type "charmap.exe" (without quotes), then Enter]

TIPS:
  • Clicking on any character's (square) will initiate a perpetually zoomed popup to help you see it better.
  • Once you find desired character, double-click (or select button) it to place it into the "characters to copy" field, where you can then "copy" (button) it, and then paste wherever desired.
Good luck, and thanks in advance for posting back ...
  • to let me (and others) know how things worked out,
  • if you have any further questions,
  • to provide clarification or feedback.

Issues with yahoo username and password when accessing vie mobile

When you type the user name type the first character twice because the first character automatically changes to upper case.
So type it twice and delete the upper case character.

similarly do it when you are typing the password also.

How do I type extended characters on my laptop? On a desktop I get the extended characters using 0175. On teh laptop, the top numberic keys do nto return any values.

There should be a key on your laptop that enables NUMLOCK.
Some of the keys on the keyboard, on the right upper side, should also have numbers on them. When numlock is enabled, you can use the ALT code using these numbers, and it should work.
If not, please post back here and I'll find another solution for you.
