Check the speaker wires maybe they have worked loose. And speakers themselves as they may blown. Do you have an amp if so check its fuse.
Also check for inoperative interior lights, lighter, and horn. One of these circuits will power the radio's memory circuit. Some radio models will appear to work normally but have no sound if the memory fuse is blown. The clue is the clock will reset to 12:00 each time you turn on the ignition switch.
the john deere 2020 gas tractor has a automatic reset breaker. If the tractor has a short it will shut off power to the ignition switch and reset in 60 sec. If the breaker is bad you will have power at the switch until you turn it to start or ecc.then no power at the ignition switch. I can not find the breaker. let me know if you do.

You should be able to. It sounds like your radio is hooked up in a manner that disconnects it from ALL the power once the ignition is turned off. This causes the radio to return to channel 9 by default program when powered on again.
Try connecting the radio hotwire to the fusebox at the factory am/fm radio fuse junction (be sure the amps for the cb + the am/fm don't exceed the rating for the fuse). This should keep power supplied to the radio even with the engine off, and it should remain tuned to channel one every time you turn it on.
i had a similar problem on my ford probe. i found that the fixed live to the radio had split. it left me with only switched power from the ignition. over time it shorted out and i lost radio, central locking and dash lights. i replaced the fuse in the back of radio and had to have the wiring checked! oddly when it was checked over no other faults were found apart from the split live.i replaced the live feed, reconnected the battery and everything was fine. Dont know if this helps but u never know. Good Luck
