Question about Weather King 10AJA2501AH Air Conditioner

1 Answer

No heat The AC works fine; I checked the breaker box. The heat came on a couple of times for 10 min or so in the last week but now it won't come on at all. The fan works in the ON position but no heat. Can you give me some idea of what the problem might be and cost to repair before I have to call someone to look at it. It was manufactured 4/2003. Thank you.

We have the same problem. Ours is a heat pump I think? Weather king Model # Wrka-a030jk06e. only diffrence is ours will blow warm air till Set Point is reached. After it turns off then comes back on again It only blows cold air. We have to shut it off for a while then it will work again. Could this be thermostat problem as well? Unit and thermostat is 11 years old.

First figure out if your unit is a heat pump, (where the unit outside both heats and cools your home) or it may be a propane or nat gas furnace, it could also be a hydronic heater (the water heater heats the home) let me know what you find out.

Since its a heat pump the outdoor unit should be coming on when you switch to heat. If its not coming on at all it sounds like a low voltage (thermostat wiring) problem. Have you replaced the thermostat recently?? So i take it when you switch the unit to cool both the outdoor and the indoor fan run, however when you switch to heat it does absolutely nothing??? If so it sounds like a thermostat or wiring issue.

Our air conditioner keeps going off, and won't come back on, what is the problem?

does the dryer still wor? you can try switching off the circuit breaker then back on in case the ac is locked out electricaly. do both the dryer and the ac breakers, but this would not be common to two circuits which should be independent.

Check the thermostat and make sure the fan switch is set on "Auto". If it is set on "ON" the blower will run constantly.

Belling XOU69MF Tripping breaker after on for 30-40 mins after steam cleaning

That's why you use easy off. LOL
If you have run it twice then any moisture should be gone, besides if it was moisture it should trip quick, sounds like a bad element causing the trip. I have never seen a breaker go bad, but they can.

I have an electric furnace, it worked fine since it was last repaired, had a bad heat sequencer in it.. but now (3weeks later), it is tripping the 30 amp breaker after a few min of operation ????,...

I ran across a similar problem with electric furnaces years ago. One of the heating elements had failed and the coil was actually making contact with the frame in which it was held. This may be the problem but must be checked with the power off as the chassis may be live. Something is definitely amiss if your unit is tripping a 30 amp breaker and probably will show up on a utility bill next month.

Outside unit keeps shutting off after 15 to 20 mins.

When compressors are on their way out, this is a symptom that is common.

Oven will not heat - lights on panel do work

I keep having the same issue with mine, but if I go to the fuse box and flip the breaker off for about 10 seconds and then back on, it works fine. Obviously this isn't a permanent fix but it gets my stove working again for a couple of days usually. I have not been able to find anything on this issue until I saw your post.
