    Oops. Sorry, wrong information.

    Try this:

Use your installation CD for Windows that came with your computer, and boot to the CD. (Usually, pressing the F12 key will offer your boot options such as "Boot to CD.")

Once booted on to the CD, it will offer you several options - Do not reinstall Windows - you want to choose the Repair Option.

When the repair stuff has loaded (You may have to select which volume you wish to work on, if so just pick the number that is next to your C drive.) and you are at the prompt that looks like "C:>" you will want to type in the following, without the quotation marks.

    "chkdsk c: /r"

It will take a while for it to work all its magic, but that should fix your problem!

When it is finished, you can simply push the power button on your computer to turn it off.
When you next turn it on, it should be happier.

How can i reboot my labtop

Best way that works for me is to unplug your wall adapter, turn the unit over, and remove the battery for about five minutes.
This allows the laptop to fully de-energize and restart after replacing the battery and plugging the adapter back in.

Dropped labtop when turning it on says system not found what do you do

Well most likely the IDE/SATA connector dislogged when you dropped it. You will need to find the 2 screws that hold the HD Caddy in place take them out pull the HD out and look for damage there. Replace the HD back into the hole all the way and try reboot.

My labtop mouse just stopped working. I rebooted

Unplug it, count to 10, plug it back in, count to 10 and it should work.
If not, try it in another computer.
If it doesn't work on either computer it is defective.

The connection's there, but my laptop says no.

unplug the power cable on your modem, and your wireless adapter for about 20 sec, then plug them back in. This will give a brand new fresh connection from your internet service provider to your modem and your wireless adapter. Also power down the labtop and then reboot.

If that doesnt work you can always try updating the drivers on your labtop for your internet card.

go to Drivers.com

They have a free utility where you can scan your comptuer and find all outdated drivers, then download the new ones and install them.

Other things that can be effecting it is electrical interference. Having your labtop next to or near any big appliance, or tv, can reduce the single some.

They also make bigger antennas u can buy for your wireless adapter that will increase the range, and single some.

Please rate me, and/or recommend me. This is not only helpful in letting me know how im doing, but lets others know that i am helpful as well.

Screen divided into 2 mirrored sections.

This sounds like a hard drive failure. You can press f8 to enter safe mode with networking during post. If it boots to windows, then go online & download the video driver from nvidia, install it & reboot. If that doesn't work, try re-formatting. If it won't do that then try a new hard drive. I have the software needed to test the hard drive, but it's for commercial use only. This is the back yard method.

Will not reboot

Hi there.
The machine has probably suffered shock damage, remove the battery and leave if off with no power connected for a few hours, then try to boot the machine on AC power only.

Good luck and please post back with the results

Labtop to RF TV?

Hi

If you have a SVHS input on the VCR,or the TV, you should be able to get video that way. You will also need to run sound from the h/p out on the laptop, and corresponding audio connection on the TV/Sound System, or you could still use the laptop for sound. Up to you.

Have a quick look for any SVHS input sockets on the back ot he gear and let me know what you find. Cheers
