Question about Tefal T-fal 5 QT Deep Saute Hard Anodized Aluminum 579781
There is a Lifetime Guarantee on this pan...I bought mine at a discount store - only saved a few dollars... What is my recourse if there are problems... such as described w/the handles on other sites? Can I work w/T-Fal on this? If I have to go to the manufacturer and/or pay shipping etc to use warranty, I'd prefer to return the pan and work w/a retailer with more stores/more liberal return policy than where I purchased mine. Please advise.
If it wasn't flagged by the factory as defective then any dealer should honor the warranty. I would go to a dealer and present my problem and not mention where I got it. If they ask just tell them you bought it from another store that was having a close out sale, or something. It's really none of their business where you bought it they are a dealer of that brand and are suppose to honor the warranty. If it had a factory defect then sometimes the Mfg. will send that serial # out to it's dealers but a good reputable dealer should just replace it and YES that includes the lid. The lid and pan are considered one piece. Get on them if you have to, they don't like unhappy customers.

2. If you need to clean the wok more
thoroughly you can do it in hot water but don't use any soap or chemicals.

4. A properly seasoned wok won't give
off any black smudges. If yours does, it may still be dirty or just need to be
