Check that power is getting to the transformer, if so test the transformer for continuity. if it is good look for a short in the high voltage(spark plug) wire, and that one side of the secondary is connected firmly to the chassis of the heater. if no power to the transformer then trace the wiring to find the defect.

Does your heater use the older spark plug technology or the newer Hot Surface Ignitor (HSI) technology?

Without this critical information about all this technician can do is guess.

My best guess at this time would be either water in the fuel or a restricted fuel filter.

My best guess is that you are are connecting to your AC receptacle with an extention cord that is too small. The Reddy Heater contains a computer that will shut the unit off if it cannot pull enough amps from your service. The longer the cord the higher the loss from receptacle to unit. This loss can be reduced by increasing the size of your extention cord. I run a 100' 10/2 cord.

Hope this helps!

SOURCE: reddy heater will not fire.

Your problem is most likely the lack of pressure from the air pump. Your pressure is extremely low. Pressure on a 100k heater should run 5psi. At 3psi there is not enough fuel and not enough air to atomize whats there. Bump the pressure up. If it won't come up, then you have an air leak. Test w/ soapy water. Keep your fingers clear of the fan!

Ready heater r110 I have replaced nozzle, filers all, cleaned sensor, runs some times for 30 sec shuts down

The R110 is a spark plug heater, as you know. It does not have the sophisticated electronics that the newer heaters have.

My guess: SP heater runs 30 seconds & shuts down- bypassphotocell. If it runs fine, then the photocell is defective. The test is simpleIf the photocell proves to be good follow these troubleshooting tips

I have a Reddy Heater Model R110. It has operated great until it ran out of fuel. I filled it up and now it will not ignite. It is pumping fuel as fuel is running out the front of it. I cannot find my...

remove the cover and check for spark at plug when plugged in if no spark check spark plug gor proper gap, or defective transformer electronic ignitor if you see spark check for proper pump pressure and restricted fuel flow due to seal leak, filter blocked and restriction in nozzle. I would check for defective photocell first for soot/dirt if dirty wipe with clean damp cloth remove photocell from heater and connect ohmeter on the 1000 ohl (rx1k) scale. Hold the lens up to a light source (60 wtt bulb, with the lens of the photocell pointed towards the source the resistance of the meter should be low by clocking off the light source by putting thumb over opening of cell the resistance on meter should be high, replace photo cell if a change in resistance is not observed during this test, let me know if you need more assistance

My reedy heater pro 110 blows fuel out the front but does not ignite and then shuts down

The Pro 110 comes in 2 different technologies. The true model (examples: R110, RHD110T, etc) designates which technology your heater has. Rather than ask for clarification I am posting links to Troubleshooting Tips for BOTH types. You must investigate to see if your heater is the Spark Plug technology or the HSI (glowbar) technology.

Troubleshooting greatly differs between the 2 types.

Reddy Heater will not ignite flame

Please answer the following questions. There are several folks on the board that can help but we need to know some vital information so we can get started. Answer these, if you can:
  1. Which Pro 110 do you have. We need the exact model number. Pro 110 is a series of heaters.
  2. Does the heater have a spark plug or a glowbar (HSI)?
  3. When the motor runs is it pumping fuel?
  4. When the motor runs is the spark plug firing (or glowbar glowing)?
