The way computer monitors are made today, there is no extra runs for repair parts. You could use a monitor stand whereby you detach the broken stand and attach to a new stand.

Remove pedistal base from 24h898 aoc envision tv

You need to remove the cover that hides the 4 screws that hold the stand to the monitor. There are 3 pieces to the pedestal base. The base plate, the pedestal, and the screw cover. To remove the screw cover, look on the back where the pedestal attaches to the monitor. There is a cover just above the pedestal. Pinch the top left and top right sides (about one inch from edge) to unclip the cover. Remove the 4 silver screws (2 on each tab) and put them in a ziploc bag to avoid losing them. Tape them to the pedestal/base and cover.

My samsung syncmaster 740bf monitor has developed a problem, a few minutes after start up the monitor screen just goes blank (white), but you can be able to0 revert back to the normal screen by pressing...

White glowing screen is indicating that the T-CON board on the LCD panel assembly is not getting the signals or voltages from the main board, you may inspect the caps in the power supply and in the main logic board first.

Hllo, samsung 740bf screen not working

Try it with another PC first.
Look for bad caps in the power supply first.
If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed SAMSUNG monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Line on monitor samsung syncmaster740bf

Open the monitor, examine the circuit boards. Look for small components that look like small cans, these are capacitors. If you see any that look bulged on top, then your problem can probably be solved by replacing these. Check out the following sites;

What is a DVI cable purpose? can the 740bf work without it julianb2005

The DVI cable provide higher resolution signals than a standard VGA cable. You can get a DVI to VGA converter at electronic stores such as Radio Shack or best buy etc. The monitor will work fine with the adapter connected to it.

Samsung pedestals

Howdy,

So we had a similar problem. I actually went to a Sears Outlet here in San Diego where a tech gave me the bolts for free! But......the pedestals are still not compatible. I think Samsung built this discrepancy on purpose, just as other manufacturers do, because it makes them money. No cutting corners and buying previous year's stuff at a discount. BTW, I did verify the incompatibility with Samsung...

Good luck!!
