Right-click desktop, Properties, Settings tab, Advanced, change the DPI to 96.

If it already is, Right-click desktop, Properties, Themes tab, set the default XP theme (or choose another and go back to XP theme again).

If not, Right-click desktop, Properties, Settings tab, adjust the screen resolution to a slightly higher one.

The displayed text (font) size for a web-site or page is a function of your browser. Try these to icrease or decrease the text size on your email:

Zoom in - <Ctrl><plus>
Zoom out - <Ctrl><minus>
Reset zoom - <Ctrl><zero>
Adjust zoom - <Ctrl><Mouse Wheel>

Firefox - View -> Zoom -> Reset
IE - View -> Text Size -> Medium (or other sizes)
Safari - View -> Actual Size
Chrome - Current Page Settings(Icon) -> Zoom -> Normal

The google home page is too big for the screen on my 8.9''eepc...outlook express is ok...

If you're browser experiencing large icon,fonts or the whole page gets bigger,this is due to resolution adjustment as what you set/change before or when you format your pc.

to resolve this, just follow this steps :

* press Ctrl + to enlarge your screen
* press Ctrl - to decrease screen.

hope this solution works.Thank you for visiting FixYa.
