Question about Refrigerators
I have a side by side LG refrigerator with a water / ice dispenser in the freezer door. The water line for the water dispenser is broken so when the button is pressed to dispense water, water runs onto the floor. Ice maker is still working fine and water doesn't leak unless the button is pressed. How do you take the dispenser out of the door? I was able to take the trim ring with the electronics panel off and also the button actuator and plastic chute so that everything is open. It appears that the door was assembled around the dispenser assembly and that nothing is accessible without tearing into the door which can't be done because it is foamed together. How can I replace the water line to the dispenser?

You tell us about this board or that board but never tell us where to located or get at these boards. Would you please clarify that?
My ice and water started dispensing sporadically, though the lights were working fine. After I removed the kick board at the bottom, cleaned out the little connector and put it back together, nothing on the door works. All else works fine.

If it overfills and drips, look for an
adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water.
If it continuously drips, replace the water inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.

Testimonial: "THANKS, THAT SEEMS TO HAVE DONE IT! SHAAN"
SOURCE: I just replaced ice maker
Is there water or ice in the ice mold? If not put water in
it and see if it dumps the ice after it’s frozen. If there is ice, lift the cut off arm and let
it drop to see if it will start.
If it does dump the ice but don’t refill with water.
Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.
