Question about Optoma HD65 DLP Projector

1 Answer

No power what so ever. I took it to a local shop and they couldn't find the fault.

I replaced the lamp and that wasn't the problem. The repair shop said they checked for fuses and they were good but couldn't fix it.

we haven't been able to fix ours... we bought a new bulb and it still didn't work. That was over a year ago and the unit has been "shelved"

It's been my experience with projectors that suddenly won't power-up, is that the safety interlock switch on the lamp cover has gotten dusty, and has stopped working. Usually, there is a tab on the cover that presses a hidden, recessed switch. I would recommend checking that first. If that isn't the problem, I would recommend checking the capacitors in the power supply. The issue would probably be one or the other.

2006 Tahoe Replace Liftgate fuse random alert- how to fix?

My info shows the ECC fuse 10Amp powers the Lift gate lock relay. this is the only Info I have so far. the ECC fuse is located in the instrument panel Fuse block. That fuse block should be at the left end of the dash. You have to have the drivers door open to access it. the fuse will be on the left side of the fuse block bottom corner just above the 25Amp circuit breaker for the LT doors. when you remove the fuse make sure the connection in the fuse block are not heated looking or that the fuse block itself is not melted looking. If so you have a loose connection there. you can try to close / tighten the connection with a small pick. bend the connection point closed so it will be tighter in the fuse when you install the fuse.

Hi my samsung crt tv come up on start up but couldn't stay for more than few seconds before it goes standby. I've tried to check settings but could not even get anywhere before it goes back to standby

Whenever a television starts doing this the motherboard/main board and or power supply is usually at fault. The power supply can usually be rebuilt for around $150 depending upon the knowledge and skill of your local television repair shop. To replace the parts is usally more expensive then it would be to purchase another television ($300 and up). Are you sure this is the model number of your television because this model number is not for a CRT television. For troubleshooting you can unplug it overnight to try and power cycle it but it sounds like your problem is beyond doing any type of power cycle to get the television back going again. It would need the repair shop or to be discarded for another.

Makes a noise when i turn on tv

Mine was making a screeching noise for a few seconds then stopping then doing it again on and off for around a minute. After this it clicked and the lamp indicator light on the front of the. Tv went red and nothing else. There is no picture at all during this process. I thought it might be the lamp that had gone but after looking on forums most people said that their pictures gradually got darker over a period of time before it completely failed and mine had not done this. In the end I wimped out and took it to local repair shop for them to quote for repair. They have confirmed it's just the lamp but as they only deal in genuine parts and I won't pay over 200 quid for a Sony lamp they charged me 30 quid for checking it and I have ordered a lamp from Kinetis lamps for less than 70 quid. Fingers crossed the repair shop are right and it's only the lamp..!!

We have a 50 inch panasonic plasma hd television we bought in 2007. The tv was great until 2 days after the extended warranty ran out (with Circuit City who, of course, is no longer in business anyway). ...

The main power supply regulator board fault. It will be best to replace the power board as card basis rather than trying to repair it. Because, in most cases repair work on this board will be a failure, especially to Plasma displays. If you wish to get more details visit the site linked here. It will help you to an extent, I beleve. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ Faults of many popular brand sets are given.

Trying to turn on tv and no picture. bought new

Rulds2008 is probably right. I had the same problem, but have no TV repair shop near me. So since I have experience fixing computers, I decided to repair the TV myself. I initially repaired the Lamp, but the TV still flashed all three lights. Called Samsung and they told me that I might need to replace the ballast, but it would be best to bring it to a repair shop. The repair shop offered to come out and look at it for $150 or bring it in for $120, even though they were about 30 mins away. Ordered both parts on www.Samsungparts.com and got them in three days. Still had the three flashing lights. Took apart the entire TV (googled it on youtube) and vacuumed and dusted the TV and took apart the color wheel (about 20-30 mins). It was completed busted. Found out that if the color wheel is broken, it will not send a signal to the ballast to tell it to start up and power the lamp. So if you have replaced the lamp and/ or the ballast and it does not light up, it is more than likely that it is your color wheel (buy it on ebay or amazon, got it in three days versus a 3-4 week back order on company sites). Also, make sure the power switch on back is being pushed upwards and not downwards or the TV also will not start. Total parts cost me ($400) versus having someone else fix it and charge me double with labor and parts. TV is better than ever. Hope this helps.

LGKS360 Faults

I would argue about that. Clearly thats a fault with the phone so they should replace it.

My phones screen would work properly so I took it back to the shop I got mine from (Argos)
They gave me a replacement phone despite the fact I didnt have the headphones that came with it.

If there is nothing wrong with the battery, then the problem is clearly your device. You should mention this situation with the local repair shop. If you have insurance, then the device should be covered for a replacement.

the only thing that would burn out another lamp so quickly is if the ballast assy was also bad.
