Is the HDMI port 2 work? Try to turn it off and turn it back on. If it is still not working then the HDMI ports have gone bad. You will need to replace the main board.

SOURCE: Vizio L32 32 in. HDTV LCD HDMI input not working

I recently had the same problem with my vizeo hdmi port # 1 going bad. Tried everything to fix and called vizeo. There solution for a master reset was turn off tv and unplug from the wall. then hold down the power button for 30 secs and let go. plug the tv back in and hold down the volume down and input select buttons down on side of the tv for 15 secs. release the buttons and turn the tv on after powering down all the components connectd to the tv. If this does not work they told me you need to have it sericed for a bad hdmi input. Hope this info helps anyone out there. It didn't work for me. Its a bummer cause the tv is well taken care of and only 18 months old. Best of luck to all others.

VGA to HDMI cables don't work. They're a con. VGA is an analogue signal. HDMI is digital. It's not possible to convert from one to the other with just a bit of wire.

Have no picture or sound why

here is a link for your tv's manual: http://store.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/VOJ320F1A/171Manual.pdf

1. make sure you have power

a. connect a working device such as a clock, radio, or lamp to the wall receptacle to verify power works at receptacle b. confirm power cord is firmly inserted into receptacle and to the tv. c. some appliances have a main power switch in addition to an on/off switch. confirm that if this is the case and make sure the main switch is set to on if applicable. d. check tv to be sure it is powering on. you should see a power indicator illuminate or you may see the screen illuminate and perhaps display a logo screen when it is turned on. If the set is on, operating volume and channel or other functions should display something on the screen.

2. Make sure a working device is connected to your TV and is powered on.

a.. if the set is powered on, a source must be connected to the set in order to view a picture and hear sound. you should see connectors on the back of the set for various devices and connections. If you have an antenna, connect it to the antennae connector terminal. you will need to acces the settings to do a channel scan or set up to see any channels you might receive.

b..you may have a dvd player or set top box for satellite or cable or an internet streaming device such as a roku to connect. connect the device using the appropriate connectors and cables. once the output of the device is connected to an input on the set, select the input the device is connected to on the set from the tv remote or the side panel buttons and power on the device. hopefully you will see a screen displayed on your tv. if your audio is connected, you should be able to play a video and hear sound. just check all connections to be sure your output connections on your connected devices are attached to the appropriate inputs on your set with the appropriate cables. you may need hdmi, s-video, optical, rca or other cables depending on the device connections and your set connections.

c. if you still can not get a picture or sound, try your device with another set and try other devices on your set such as another dvd player or a camera.

hope this helps. http://store.vizio.com/documents/downloads/hdtv/VOJ320F1A/171Manual.pdf

Hi, First off, I am not very technical. I have a

Your LCD TV has all the modern connections. The best connection between components is through an HDMI connection which outputs audio and video to the highest resolution possible.

You need 2 cables:

1. You would need the HDMI - display port adapter: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H1824ZM/A?mco=MTgxMzM1NzE

2. And an extra HDMI cable to connect from the adapter to your TV.

You can also take your Macbook to a Mac Store to make sure everything works.

When I connect my unibody macbook pro to my old tv using a vga to tv converter, my computer doesn't even recognize the disyplay.

When you connect your tv to your mac, make sure the cables are plugged into the TV first, and then plug your mac into the computer.
But a vga to tv converted doesn't make much sense. Your connection should be mini-display from your mac, to an adapter to either VGA, DVI, or HDMI depending on your TV connection type.

Eed help connecting MacBook Pro to Vizio VP50HDTV

I would say this is a resolution issue. The LCD on your MAC is capable of a much higher resolution than your television. To mirror your MAC you must lower the resolution to something that is at or below the televisions native resolution. The native resolution of the VP50 is 1366x768 so you will be able to do the following resolutions: 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768 and 1366x768.
