Engine cut out

2001 GMC Sonoma 2 wheel drive standard pickup. Starts fine, idles fine, runs well most of the time. Occasionally, when shifting gears or accelerating slowly the truck jerks and bucks, acts like it wants to stall. If I depress the accelerator pedal fully the symptoms disappear. Only happens when engine rpm are low (like right after shifting), NEVER happens when truck is idling or accelerator is fully depressed. Brand new fuel pressure regulator and injectors.

Sounds like you may have fuel filter problem. you may want to check the pump and filters located in or near the fuel tank.
Go directly to the source ( Fuel Tank, Pump, Filters, Fuel Pressure Regulator and Injectors )
You may have water or grit in the fuel
Hope this helps

SOURCE: engine stalls after cold start-up & release from high speed idle

I had a similar problem.  I found the filter cartridge below the pcv valve had carboned up, and after the crank case pressurized, oil was forced out the pcv supply line to the throttle body.  The idle air control valve solenoid got oil in it and caused my problem, but only when it was cold.  The pcv cartridge is accessed by removing the pcv valve and the rubber fitting that the pcv valve mounts in.  It can then be fished out with a pick set, and it is a pain because you can't see it, but you can get you hand back there.  I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: 1992 gmc chevy 350 wont idle when warm

This could be a number of things but i think that your problem sounds like a vacuum leak or an EGR problem. Try listening for leaks and try un-plugging the EGR solenoid valve one time.

SOURCE: engine idles up, down and low while under 1000 rpm

It is the ISC motor, (Idle Speed Control) it costs around $30.00 and can be found at most automotive stores. If standing in front of car looking at engine, it is located near the front towards the left. Your throttle cable is connected to it. There are four small screws that hold it to a bracket, pay attention to the rod with a small dial type wheel sticking out the end and you will see it go in and out of that motor casing. Your's is sticking. replace that and you should be good to go.

if so, one of your plugs is missing under load. Mine turned out to be a wire.

Dies when shifted into gear

May be having problems with engine vacuum leaking. Pull the large hose going to the vacuum operated brake booster and block off the hose end with a cork or other plug. Start the engine and see if it runs more smoothly. Set the emergency brake and put in gear--does it idle smoothly? If so, then you likely have a bad vacuum leak within the booster unit. Restore the vacuum hose to the cylinder and arrange to replace the cylinder.
