Question about Sam4s ER-180T Cash Register

Open Question

My employee had a $22,000 void, and my grand total will not reset to reflect that void--so it looks like my grand total is 22,000 more than it actually is.

How can I get my grand total to reset without affecting my actual grand total? In other words, how do I get that void to subtract from the grand total?

I have a casio t500. when I cash up at the end of the day and we have used the percentage button foe a sale do you subtract that total that is shown on line %- from the total daily sales.


If you find the net total, that should be the total after discounts and refunds, voids etc so that is the actual money you should have at the end of the day

You can't. The Grand Total always keeps going up as items are rung in. This is an anti-theft feature otherwise your toe-rag employees would be skimming money from the till and resetting it. The Z Reading is also fixed and not resettable. Inland Revenue, IRS and Revenue Canada also like this feature! :>)

If the business is yours, you have two cash registers. One is ahem, 'a spare' and is kept in your garage at home and is 'tested' in the business once a week. you don't have a receipt for buying this register because you bought it out of your own pocket :>)

How do I find out a percentage of a number


You likely mean this to be the 'Average' number of employees per day rather than percentage. However you need to work out based on hr's per day that each employee can work. Lets assume though that they work full time, 8hrs per day. Then you would work out as follows:
3223.5 /8 /28 /306 = 0.047 employees per day

If they only work 1 hr per day it would be:
3223.5 /28 /306 = 0.376 employees per day

Each employee would need to work:
3223.5 /306 = 10.53hrs per month

HOW MAN HOURS BREAK IN CALIFORNIA AFTER 8 HOUR SHIFT?


Employees must, with two exceptions, receive at least eight hours free from work between shifts, whether they are "split shifts," "on call shifts," "back-to-back" shifts or ordinary daily shifts.
Rest between shifts is not required if:
  • the total time worked during both shifts does not exceed 13 hours; or
  • the employer and employee agree in writing to reduce or forego the eight-hour rest period.
Example
Monica works in a restaurant. She is on split shifts, working from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and then from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. The total time of her two shifts is 6 hours. Monica does not need to have eight hours off between the shifts because her total hours worked on the shifts do not exceed 13 hours.
Note: The requirement for rest between shifts operates simultaneously with the requirement for daily rest; an employee's schedule must satisfy both requirements. For example, an employee might agree in writing to work two eight-hour shifts in a row without any time free from work between them (the employee's agreement means there is no violation of the rest between shifts rule), but if that results in the employee receiving less than 11 consecutive hours off in a day, the employer will be in violation of the daily rest rule* and therefore it is not permitted.
* Unlike the case with the rest between shifts requirement, an employee cannot agree to waive the daily rest requirement.

Not sure what you mean by new and old grand total. There is normally one grand total and that should print by default. It is affected by everything you do. It can't usually be edited or reset as it is there to stop fraud. Most people do not use it. You only need the daily totals that get reset after a Z report

Hello, i have a casio te 2000 and i need it to divide the grand total into 4 because i have 4 employees who are using it. However as they use the register at different times they dont need different clerk...


Sorry, clerk system is totally designed to do this. Have them sign on as a different clerk number and print a clerk report before your daily one

Where is the grand total key located on the Canon P23-DH V


The Grand Total Key is the * on the far bottom right side.

So, when you are adding/subtracting stuff, your input would look something like this:

426+
532+
958*

Bought a used XE-A202 Sharp register and need to know how to reset the grand totals? The previous store's information still prints out on the Z reports.


You can reset everything except the grand totals. Just ignore them. The rest of the report will reflect your sales. If you want to reset the GTs, you will have to lose all programming and start again.

Create a program that will the salary, no of hours work, the deduction, total deduction and net pay.


The easiest way to do this is to use Excel spreadsheet.
This is what you need to do.
Create a label at the top of each column as detailed.
Add a employee to each row under Name of employee
Then against each employee add the data and the formula in the relevant cell under each column.

The first column - Name of the employee
2nd column - salary rate per hour
3rd column - hours worked
4th column - gross pay (formula = salary rate X hours worked)
5th column - tax deduction
6th column - other deductions
7th column - total deductions (formula = tax deduction + other deduction)
8th column - net pay (formula = gross pay - tax - total deductions)

At the last row you can include a total for Gross salary paid, total Tax collected etc.

Once you have setup this spread sheet make a copy of it and save it as a template.
You can then copy this template for each new financial year so you do not have to create a new one each year, you only need to make minor changes for new employees, rates of pay etc.

Another way to make a salary program is to use Access Database. You need more skills to do this, but it can provide greater reporting capabilities.
