How to find out usage on my Bernina 640 w/embroidery

I have a 640 and would like to find out how to determine my usage, since it's a step down from the 730, I'm wondering if it's the same process. Would you mind sharing how you find out your usage on your 730?

For a 640: Make sure the machine is off then Press the reverse button and the needle up/down button at the same time and keep pressing while turning on the machine until the service screen come up. Select the "i" icon and then the icon that has a picture with the clock and a question mark. That will show you the hours and stitch count used. To exit the service program just turn off the machine.

My bernina 640 will do about 150 stitches in a embroidery pattern then stops and indicates I am out of bobbin thread.

The bobbin sensor needs to be replaced not easy as connecting wires flow inside the open arm, not a job for an operator. Sorry

Bernini 570qe embroidery module connector doesn't fit . Do i need an adaptor?

You should not need an adapter for the embroidery module connector cable. Hold the flat side of the cable towards the front as you place it in the outlet. Make sure that you are using the correct socket and have the cable oriented correctly. The socket is the third one down on the hand wheel side in the front group of connection sockets.

You can find the picture of the connections on page 15 (16 of the PDF). The correct way to connect the cable is given on page 122 (page 123 of the PDF). You can find a copy of the manual on the product site: https://www.bernina.com/en-US/Products-US/BERNINA-products/Sewing-Quilting-and-Embroidery/BERNINA-5-Series/BERNINA-570-QE . Click on the Support link. The direct link to the manual is currently https://www.bernina.com/BERNINA/media/Support/Sewing_Quilting_Embroidery/5_Serie/BERNINA_570/Documents/EN/0365315-0-04_2015-05_Manual_B570QE-B555_EN_online.pdf .

I hope this helps.

(I will suggest one thing to check if the module still doesn't connect. Make sure that you have the correct embroidery module for the 570QE. I had a neighbor with two embroidery sewing machines. When she mixed up the embroidery modules, neither connected to the machines. Once I realized that issue, I made clear labels to keep the embroidery unit with it's proper sewing machine.)

Replacing the s board in a Bernina 640

What is your question? Can it be done? Yes, but you'll probably want a Bernina tech to do it if the part can be found.

I have a Bernina 180 with embroidery module. If I upgrade to a Bernina 640, would it work with my 180 module?

Unfortunately no, I think that the 185 and beyond use the same emb module. The 180 if I remember correctly, has the memory and card reader in the module itself and may have a different plug. I do know for sure that the 180 hoops will definitely not fit on the newer modules. Sorry to disapoint, Allen

Bernina Artista 640 - While embroidering, the sewing needle hit a pin and broke. Now that I have replaced the needle, the alignment is off. The needle point comes down onto the embroidery presser foot.

This will probably need to be handled by a professional. With this particular Bernina, you might be able to adjust the needle position so that it is slightly off center and will not hit the presser foot. That would be a temporary fix, however. If you want to be able to thoroughly enjoy your sewing time, you will be happier if you take it to a certified Bernina repair site and let them adjust the needle position.

How to I determine the hours on my bernina 180 and on the embroidery module?

With the machine off, hold down the 'CLR' button and turn on the machine still holding down the button. On the lower right hand side of the screen that will appear is a clock symbol, next to it is the number of hours on the machine since the last service.

I have a Bernina 450, can you determine usage on this machine and if so how? Thanks in advance.

Not all embroidery machines have a stitch counter. If it is not in the manual, you could check with your Bernina dealer.

A Bernina is worth annual trips to the dealer for service.
