Model MFC-7420 Scanner problem (by 4 users)
I am having a problem with the scanner. The error message says that I dont have an OCR program installed. I have word perfect installed on the PC with the Windows XP operationg system. What do I need to do to make the scanner work and allow me to scan documents into the PC and make changes to the document?

Initially OCR did not launce. Reinstalled the software from the internet - did steps 100% but now get message OCR is not installed. Went to systems -dxata execution ptevention tab and ensures controlcentre2.0 main program was mared - but still did not help. Having the same problem with my 9180 MFC, have not taken any steps to fx it yet.

Please make sure your device is ON and interface cable is properly connected to your computer.

I have a desktop in the office and can scan on that. But I mostly use my laptop which is wi fi in the office. Although I can print from my laptop I am unable to scan? Can you help?
