Question about Computers & Internet
We bought this tv new but when we set it up it had this white crisp smear on the left side. the smear has thin colored pinstripes within it. The menu is underneath it and the curser can move underneath and you can press on 'something 'and it will work. you only can see the picture on the part that does not have the smear. We exchanged the tv and the new one does the same thing except the smear hiding the menu is in the centre, the picture shows o both sides but you cannot see what is going on in the middle. Is this a problem with this tv or are we having connection issues and if so what are they.
OK. Great idea to try another monitor! What you forgot was to tell us the make and model. Also we need the make and model of what you're connecting the monitor to.
That said, it could be the cable and connectors: are you using an adapter to match up with a specific connector?
It could be a resolution setting on the monitor or on the video card. Both have menus for adjusting the input signals.
