Question about Whirlpool 24 in. ADG7540 Built-in Dishwasher

Open Question

I have a whirlpool adg7540 dishwasher. It has just tripped out 5 mins into a 50degree cycle. There is still water in the bottom of the appliance and I cannot switch the machine on via the power button. I've checked all plug and sockets and there is no fuse issue

SOURCE: whirlpool dishwasher stopped working...

It sounds like the thermal fuse in the control console has blown.
Turn power off to unit.
Remove the outer door panel and then the console.
Remove the black plastic cover from over the circuit board if it has one.
You should see the thermal fuse clipped to the circuit board housing.
If you have an ohm meter, check for continuity across it, it should read closed.
If you don't have a meter, unplug the wires from it and and hook them together.
Turn power back on to unit, hold door switches down and cancel cycle. The washer should drain the water.
If this doesn't work, check your door switches to make sure they are closing properly.

Continuous flash with no pause is a Faulty NTC (temperature sensor)
Or according to whirlpool it might be that your keys are syticking.

Dishwasher is not cleaning contents properly

I take it that the dishwasher is going through the full cycle?

So check that the filters and spray arm holes are not blocked up.

If they are clean then check water level inside the appliance by letting it fill to the point it starts to wash then open the door (slowly) you can also tell if the wash pump is working at the same time.

Even if you use all in one tabs I have also found that putting salt and rinse aid in the appliance helps.

My Whirlpool ADG 7550 Dishwasher trips out all my electrical sockets as soon as its plugged in. It failed whilst in mid wash. Any advice?

It is possible there is a short in the electric system in the dishwasher. There are two possibilities

1. there is a leak to the earth due to some water leakage and this causes the earth relay to trip.
2. the dishwasher motor coil or capacitor is shorted and drops the circuit breaker.

If it is related to 1, then best to take the dishwasher out from the cabinet and check with multimeter if power plug Live is showing short with Earth connection. You will have to find source of the water leak onto the power board.

If it is related to 2, then isolate the motor capacitor and try again. But 2 is unlikely if the breaker trips even if the dishwasher is not turned on.

Please post a comment if you find anything.
