How do I set up Wi-Fi?

First, you will need you network password, if password protected. Next, connect your Roku device to the television nearest your router.
Start your Roku device, and wait for the Roku main-screen to appear. Then scroll down to "Settings" and hit "OK" on your Roku remote. Next scroll to "Network" and hit "OK' on your remote, then choose wireless, or wired. If you using an Ethernet cable to connect your Roku, you won't need a network password. If your trying to make a wireless connection, this wireless choice is where you'll need your network password.

Most of the wifi blueray players will really say "wifi ready" meaning you have to buy an adapter for the wifi part to work at all. What blueray player is it?

Hi I got my router set up on my personal desktop computer and laptop also to my wii, now I was trying to get it to locate my blueray dvd player so I could stream movies to my sons room but for the life of...

You should open the setup menu on the blue-ray player, and look for something along the lines of Wireless or internet settings. It may be under the general settings tab. Then Make sure that it is set to DHCP for assigning an address. It may also say something like automatic or manual for getting an IP address, go with Auto. It should also give you the option to start scanning for a wireless access point. Run the scan, and if you see your wireless router's SSID or name, select that. If you have security enabled on your router, you will need the wireless password or Key. Once that has been entered, it should perform a connectivity test. If all goes well, you will be streaming content in no time. Hope this was helpful to you.

It wont play bluerays i think it needs a update? how do i update it?

A TV doesn't need updates to play Blueray. Just make sure the Blueray player is set to an output that the TV can handle such as 720p, 1080i or 1080p. If you have it set to 1080p and the TV is not 1080p you will get a blue or a blank screen.

Vizio tv has no sound.

I had a similar issue with my VF551xvt and my Blueray player. The issue was actually with my Blueray player and not the TV. the settings for the blueray player when hooked to HDMI were defaulted to muted. once this was changed my sound came back.

Connecting directly to the TV is ideal....but then you would have to connect the audio through coax or optical unless the bluray player had an additional HDMI out.
So...what connection is going from the receiver to the television when it does not provide picture? If you do not have HDMI, DVI or component video going from the receiver back to the TV then you won't get a picture. However, you may not also get a picture if the video output resolution is adjustable in the receiver as well and does not match...make sure that the TV is set to the same resolution as the receiver, and that the video output of the player is also set the same.

How to redirect the sound of my new LG 52" HDTV LCD to my LG home theatre?

There sould be audio outputs on the back of it, and the manual should clearly show how to set up a home theatre with an external sound system and all.

I don't know what kind of sound system you have, but I think it might be best to connect your video source (typically DVD player) to your sound system, as it usually can be done better that way. No need to introduce another link in the chain (your TV) that could degrade sound. Also any external tuner could (should) be connected to your sound system directly.

If you use the internal tuner in your TV to watch TV the audio out is your option. Best way to get this right is to consult the manual. They usually have some diagrams that shows a few options of how to do it.
