SOURCE: Brewing System stuck

Hi, I think this is something I encountered once. Try this:
1. Shut the service door
2. unplug the machine, wait for any of the shut down noises to stop
3. plug the machine back in, wait for any noises to stop
4. check to see if everything is back in order

The most important thing is to keep the service door shut, and all the parts, ground basket, drip tray etc. in place. The mechanical will only operate with these things in place.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Delonghi Magnifica Makes creaking noise when preparing brew unit

These machines do need to be lubricated every so often. First, buy some food safe lubricant, e.g. here. Then, turn the machine off, open the front door, and remove the infuser. There is a holder connected to the machine by two hex screws. You may remove this (or even just leave it on). Now attach a long tube to the lubricant (should come with the can) and spray lubricant on both sides of the vertical screw that moves the infuser up and down. Give it a few good sprays on both sides of the screw, up and down, and that should solve your problem.

SOURCE: wont heat or brew!!

Make sure the coffee maker is unplugged there's 120 lethal volts inside when plugged in!

This unit has a replacable thermal fuse. It's a "Microtemp" Thermal Cutoff Fuse G4A00. You can buy five on eBay for $2.70. There are two on this unit and they are in the base concealed inside a 3" white mesh that runs alongside the heater. You will need a security fladebladed screwdriver that you can make by filing a notch in the center of a regular screwdriver.

SOURCE: water not pumping

Typically this is caused by the heating/water unit inside the machine drying out. Not being totally familiar with your machine let me offer this suggestion: if you have a "hot water" function that allows you to run hot water out of the machine use it to allow water to get back into the heating unit. Once water flows through without interruption you should be able to brew coffee again. I know this is the case with Jura machines and the problem you described is identical to what happens with those machines when the internal heated water tank runs dry.

SOURCE: Took tray and grounds tray out to clean and it

I had this problem last night. The infuser was stuck down too low and the tray wouldn't slide in. I got the solution from FIXYA, and it worked for me.

First make sure machine is off at power, then put just the coffee grounds collector and not the whole tray back into place, gently close the door, and then turn the machine back on. At first I couldn't close the door, but I fgured that the grounds collector was a bit too low, so just put something in there to hold it up while I shut the door. Turn the machine back on at power and HEY PRESTO, it all started up again, and then the infuser moved back into correct position.

Make sure you have a cup handy just incase water starts to rinse out.

Hope this helps

The notches should be at 10 and 12 approx. If the noise is a clicking sound you have a broken brew drive, and the gears have to be replaced. The brew unit can't compress whole beans and something has to give.
There are to triangles on the front of the brew unit at the round hole where it piviots. They need to be pointing at each other, if the 2 notches are in the correct position, its ready to install

I put beans in where the grinds should go. help!?

Hi
Open the door and remove the drip tray. Then remove the brew unit and empty the beans. Make sure that you get all the beans. Check the brew unit thoroughly. Then put everything back. Try the pre ground button but don't put anything in the brew unit then push the medium coffee button. That will run the machine through a brew cycle and if it works OK then you set to go.

Gaggia Titanium dumps ground coffe inside unit

Hi
You have 2 knobs in the bean hopper. The small one is set to the most positive. Turn it back 1 click from the plus and that should take care of your problem. When you have a clean brew unit it will make the first coffee but a little coffee is left in the brew unit and when it tries to make the second coffee a full charge and the little that was left cause an over charge, and dumps the coffee without making anything.

The machine sounds like it is grinding the beans but it times out

Hi
1. Open the front door.
2. Remove the driptray and brew unit.
3. Above where the brew unit was is an L shaped flap with a plastic triangle molded to it.
4. Pull the triangle down and to the rear of the machine. This will dump ground coffee.
5. That is your doser box and if you look up when the flap is open you will see a rectangular open on the right that is plugged with coffee.
6. Clean this out. I use a vacuum and **** it out, but anything to open this up again.
7. Once it is clean, go to your bean hopper and turn the large knob to the hightest number.
8. Now replace everything and try it again.
9. If it makes coffee, GREAT.
10. Next time your grinder is grinding turn the big knob down to a number 2 above where you had it.

My meile does not make good coffe

Remove the Brew Unit from the maschine and clean it very well und running water. Thn go into the Main menu and switch back all settings to factory defaults. Then take a vaccum cleaner and put the pipe in the small hole where the coffe falls into the brew unit (knock a bit on the maschin inside). Put out the bean container and do the same with the hole where the beans go into the grinder. Then put everything back in and start a cleaning process for the brew unit (do it 2 times).
After that your Problems must be gone. The Problem is between the grinder and the brew unit. the grinded coffee has bee stuck and is not falling into the brew unit .... that happens when you use beans with lots of oil inside  .... or coated beans .... they "glue" the chute .....

Your chute between the grinder and the brew unit is "glued" with coffee. Take out the the brew unit, clean it under water. Take a vaccum cleaner and put the pipe into the hole where the coffee falls into the brew unit. Move the bean container "hard" in and out ( knocking inside the maschin to loose the blockage). Switch in the main menue all to factory defaults. Put the grinder "level" into the middle again. start a brew unit cleaning process. After that you coffee must be ok again. Do not use oily beans or coated beans. the block the chute.
