Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Mac book pro. Black screen cannot start but with boot sound

Have you tried connecting an external monitor.

A boot chime means the Mac has passed POST, that the screen remains black initially suggests there is a problem getting image to screen which could mean a bad cable to the LCD or the LCD display its self is having problems.

By connecting to an external display you verify the graphics on the logic board is functional, and it could get you up and running till the display problem is fixed.

Also try powering up and when you hear the chime, hold down the COMMAND+OPTION+P+R keys, and keep holding them till the machine has chimed 3 times, this will reset the 'BIOS' in case there is a glitch there stopping the display from showing up.

Compaq CQ50 wont load

YOU are to be COMMENDED!

Do you know how many do not even post the manufacturer name of the computer, much less the model number?

Plus adding the diagnostic measures you have posted?

Wish more people would use the problem area you have used, and wrote a PAGE! lol!

Do need the model number though, along with the model series number you posted. This way I can look at the BIOS versions.
(Example - CQ50-100CA)

Need to ask.........is CDROM the first boot device in Boot Options?
(BIOS Setup)

Could be of course, but you didn't post it. Makes a BIG difference.
The computer HAS to boot from the CDROM, then.

Post back in a Comment.

EMachines eMD620 suddenly shutdown and not boot anymore

When this happened was the laptop overly hot? If the laptop's head got too high it could have shutdown to protect itself. It wouldn't boot until the heat had disparate. Sit you laptop aside for about 30 minutes and see if it will boot then. If it does you might want to check out a cool mat.

I turn my computer on, and no boot, no no sound, no nothing. I looking inside and I see a red light on the motherboard that I thought should be green. right under it is the label LED1.

When you see the red led that is telling you there is a motherboard problem . Really helpful isn't it?
There are only a few things that will stop it from shoing more life that that. One is a bad power supply or bad ram. Those will stop it from showing anything or doing anything. A bad cpu usually shows more of the boot sequences before it stops. If you were seeing any errors or any blue screens just before this happened then it is most likely the ram. Because it isn't showing any post codes or beeps then the problem will be in the #1 module. To do post tests the first 64k or ram or so needs to be good. If you have more than one ram module take them out and put the #2 into the #1 spot. If it works then it is your old #1 ram module.

You should also try reseating your ram and the cables and any connectors. While not common the odd time that will be the cause.

If you cannot see any change after swapping ram then you may have a more serious problem on the board itself. Probably 9 out of 10 times the cause is the ram.

A7V400-MX will not boot

In such cases its practical to change the SMPS with a working power supply of the same rating and then trying it out. If with the new power supply it works fine then cange your SMPS. Also make sure that all cables are snug tight and generally ree from dust. The same applies to your RAM too................sodeep
