Question about Televison & Video
It's only happened once since I've had the tv (only a few days, I bought it used) and it hasn't happened again...TV was manufactured July 2005.
I have been told that it could be the color wheel...I have read that RCA Scenium's are notorious for color wheels going out...
I have a replacement lamp in the mail (just to have either way), the screen seems dark (compared to my 42'' Vizio Plasma) and I have all of the ''brightness'' settings as bright as they will go...
I figure I will replace the lamp one way or another, I am just wondering about the ''color wheel''...I cannot find a replacement for my specific tv model number: RCA HD50LPW166XY1.
RCA has discontinued the color wheel for your model and its on nationwide back order, so you cant buy the replacement. You can get your color wheel rebuilt at the following link and the rebuilt color wheels are fully guaranteed.
