We used to have a saying in the automotive repair business, and it went like this. A lack of information or incorrect information about the unit you're trying to repair and the parts you need will ensure that you get the incorrect part for that unit every single time. You've given us next to nothing to help you with. We'll need at least a model number and make of the unit. Then maybe we could help with a solution.

How do I pop the top off to replace level adjustment lever.

Turn the machine over (with the handle released). Remove the 4 screws (2 on each end of the cover over the brush). Remove the cover. There are 2 screws, deep in the machine (behind drive train wheels) remove the screws. With the machine in the same position, note 2 plastic clips located on either side of the top cover. Release the clips using a slotted screw drive.

Machine stops working after about 15mins of use.Doesn't feel hot and fuse not blown.Any ideas ??

This is most likely due to a dirty filter. Cleaning:

Turn off and unplug the machine.
Press the release button on top of the back of the powerhead.
Remove the filter housing.
Separate filter from housing.
Rinse thoroughly the following items in cold water: foam, cage, and cloth.
Repeat until the water runs clear.
Air dry for at least 12 hours before reinstalling. Make sure it's completely dry.

Removing the top of the 7901-1 Bissell Proheat

Unscrew the cap for the flow indicator, remove the 6 screws, the top will come off. When you put the top back on, make sure the piston is hooked on the smart mix knob(underneath the top cover) set the smart mix valve in the wtaer only setting, then put the top back on. Turn the smart mix valve to make sure it is turning like it should, then re-install the 6 screws and the flow indicator parts. (don't over tighten the screws)

Usually the older hose get replaced, they just weren't made to be repaired, if it looks like something that will come off, then try either warming the sleeve up with hot water or a hair drier to see if you can work it off after it has warmed up.
