Hello. I'm a little confused at the description of the problem. You indicated it, "will not agitate during wash cycle or spin during the spin cycle." But later in your description you indicated, "It will however, drain and spin after wash cycle and during the rinse cycle." I'm not sure if you description was an error but it sounds like you will need to replace the coupling which is part number 285753A.

Transmission is bad. The transmission is not used during a spin but it is used during agitation. Check your warranty, the transmission maybe covered for 10 years for parts only and 5 years for parts and labor
This is a sign of strained agitator components that are about to be damaged or stripped. I recommend pulling the agitator and clutch. inspect each device for stripped components and uneven ware. replace the agitator and clutch if found to be faulty.
Check the transmission(gear box) for damage as well. fill with oil if needed.
The inside of your agitator became worn, and possible strip out the spline that allows the agitator to properly grip the shaft. The loud noise mustly occurs during the spin cycle.
