Question about Casio EV-1000 10.4 in. LCD Television
I have owned my Casio EV-1000 B for a few years now however I really ever use it. My question to you is I have replaced the batteries in the WR-621 remote control however it still will not work. It's a pretty tight remote with no abuse however I can't use any of the buttons. What could I do to get it working.
Also, there is a plug on the side of the TV which is for a remote...??... Thanks
After being dead for a long time, i finally figured out how to fix the casio wr621 remote.
with a new battery it still did not work.
since the remote it solid looking, i decided to peel off the front vinyl faceplate.
the faceplate covers the entire top.
it peeled off easily by putting a razor blade near teh wr621 stamping.
then i just peeled off the entire thing.
upon reapplying the sticky top vinyl, it worked fine.
not sure what i did- but it now works fine.

The plug on the side of telly is for a cable remote which you can buy but these are pretty useless it sounds like the controll has got damp or has got greay if you think you can take the controll apart without damaging it then i sugest take the case off and clean behind the buttons this is usually the problem wipe the pads on the buttons then get some cloth that is clean then wipe over the circuit check for water damage then put it back together if this dont still work then you will need new controll as the originall are expensive to buy the best thing to do is buy an all in one remote this should solve your problem hope this is some help for you...........................
