Casio Remote will not work with NEW batteries.

I have owned my Casio EV-1000 B for a few years now however I really ever use it. My question to you is I have replaced the batteries in the WR-621 remote control however it still will not work. It's a pretty tight remote with no abuse however I can't use any of the buttons. What could I do to get it working.
Also, there is a plug on the side of the TV which is for a remote...??... Thanks

Thanks I may have to actually get up off my...chair and change the channel before I break down and purchase a new remote. This Water-resistant Remote Control Unit (WR-621) is a solid piece of plastic and if the battery cover on the back is tightly closed it is moisture and dust free. Any refurbish places to purchase Casio equiptment? Thanks

I have the same problem. And it is in a bathroom so no grease problem. It has never gotten wet. With 120+ cable stations, you cannot manually press the channel buttons. How much does it cost to replace this remote? Will all universal remotes work with this tv?

After being dead for a long time, i finally figured out how to fix the casio wr621 remote.
with a new battery it still did not work.
since the remote it solid looking, i decided to peel off the front vinyl faceplate.
the faceplate covers the entire top.
it peeled off easily by putting a razor blade near teh wr621 stamping.
then i just peeled off the entire thing.
upon reapplying the sticky top vinyl, it worked fine.
not sure what i did- but it now works fine.

The plug on the side of telly is for a cable remote which you can buy but these are pretty useless it sounds like the controll has got damp or has got greay if you think you can take the controll apart without damaging it then i sugest take the case off and clean behind the buttons this is usually the problem wipe the pads on the buttons then get some cloth that is clean then wipe over the circuit check for water damage then put it back together if this dont still work then you will need new controll as the originall are expensive to buy the best thing to do is buy an all in one remote this should solve your problem hope this is some help for you...........................

Charging pad the remote batteries are dead, won't hold charge anymore...

Sadly that's how they make the new rechargable batteries for controllers. You are supposed to recycle that and buy new. Luckily you can find chargers for the wii very cheap nowadays. I have used a few different chargers and have found the Nyko brand ones are junk so steer clear of those. The Duracell induction chargers however work very nicely. You just set the wii remote down on the charge pad and it charges fairly quickly. My kids run around and even if the remote shifts a bit it will continue charging. Hope this helps!

The only way is to use a standard "Set top box" or just use it as a video monitor for a VCR or DVD player - It has an A-V input that you can use, but it uses a 3.5mm jack socket (I think) - You'll need to determine the connections, but I'm sure it'll work fine. I'm just researching the conections myself. I'll re-post if I fine 'em.

I have had the same issue 3 times now. If you call Casio they will replace the battery twice. The third time they will have you send the camera in to check for manufacturing issues. They claim they have fixed the problem, but everytime I get a new battery it happens again. The best solution is to return the camera (if you can) and buy a different brand or throw it away.

I have a Casio EV-570 hand held TV. Will this work after the switch over to digital broadcast.

According to CASIO website in Japanese, their portable TVs are not supporting Digital broadcasting and decided to cease production.
Thus it will not receive Digital broadcasting.
Although, EV-570 composite AV Input should still work for Camera, VCR, etc., I have not tried to connect to the DAC box.
My portable DVD without TV tuner worked with DAC box and now can watch digital TV program!

Need remote codes ??

Hey Howeiw, I know that posting links doesn't help majorly, but I was unable to Find an "EV-1000 10.4 inch LCD Television" The closest I could find was just an EV-1000B. But that is not the same model. If you take some time when you have a chance, and visit, That site has ALL of the Remote Codes for all Cable Systems.

Hope this Helps. - Evolution

Flashing red light on my battery pack charger

Hey, I just had this problem with a Sanyo battery pack (and i thought it was the non-sanyo Li battery) and noticed it wasn't getting warm even 2 hours after "charging" and the red light was flashing - so i turned it off, disconnected the cable from the charger and realised it could go the other way, so tried that AND IT WORKED! i don't know what that cable is called, the 2-prong black cable, but give that a go (turn off in between!).

Is your charger plugged into a power strip?  Try plugging it into the wall instead.  It worked for me.  It just blinked a few times then it began charging!
