I seem to have a vacuum leak (high pitch noise)when the car is cold. I thought it was a belt related noise, but everything has been replaced and the noise is still there.

Sometimes the transmission makes that noise when it's low on oil. Check the oil level....that could be the noise.
Hope this helps.

Makes Loud Roaring Noise Driving Dryers Problems with vibration

several things to check, the balance of the legs, the rollers or pulley, the tensioner and the belt, and lets hope not the bearings? something caught in between the tub and housing can make strange noises also. might even check the glides on the tub

Lg tromm wm1812cw dum makes load noise when spinning

LOUD NOISES IN MACHINE;

LOT OF THINGS TO CHECK, THE BELT LOOSE OR WORN, THE CLUTCH, THE TRANNY, THE BEARINGS BOTH TUB SEAL AND BEARING, THE REAR DRUM BEARING,
THE DRIVE PULLEY- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive pulley might be worn out, cracked, loose or bent. Remove the drive pulley and inspect it carefully. If it is damaged or defective replace it.
THE TRANSMISSION, THE MOTOR COUPLER, THE MOTOR DRIVE BEARINGS,
THE DRIVE MOTOR- If the washer is making a loud noise the drive motor bearings may have worn out. Washer motors are normally almost silent when they run. If the motor is run without a belt hooked up to it and it's loud it will have to be replaced.

Squeaking loud...when u turn it on

ck rollers in back of tub, this will require that you removethe tub.also ck the belt addjuster these need to be lubercated ever few years. ck also around the tub seals, sometimes coins left in chlothes will stick in or around & rub metal making noise.i would remove the belt from motor before trying anything.turn on air fluff setting. start dryer to see if noise is comeing from motor or tub.

I just cleaned and greased the rollers for the drum when it was making a load high pitched noise. Now it makes a different noise and the drum won't even turn. What should I be looking at?

I would make sure the belt is on correctly. I'm assuming (darn me for assuming) you removed the tub? if so, did you see how the belt goes on the pulley? remember the fiber faces up and the pulley puts tension on the belt

THE SPIN DRYER IS MAKING NOISE BUT NOT SPINNING

Hi, if the tub is not spinning, you have either broken the belt, or the motor has burned out. If you are a handy person, you can pull off the back panel to get a look at the tub and the belt will be wrapped all the way around the tub and motor pulley. Turn it on if the belt isn't broken to see if the motor is trying to turn at the pulley. If the belt is broken that's the problem, but also make sure the motor runs because if it if froze up due to loss of bearings it will break the new belt if you decide you are going to try and replace it on your own. You will have to wrap it around the tub and run it over the belt tentioner and around the pulley. You can get a belt at a appliance parts house. Take the model, serial, numbers and brand name, and the old belt may have a part number on it. Keep me posted please.
I will check back in the morning.
Sincerely,

I have a 99 Hyundai Elantra and almost every time I turn the car on, it makes this awful squealing noise. The noise sounds to be coming from somewhere in the engine and is really bad when I have my wheel...

hi, the first thing i would have said the fault was was going to be a fan belt/ alternater belt if this is to loose or to tight then this can give you the noise you are hearing, one way of finding out if its a belt making the noise is to go out and get a spray like wd40 and then spray this on the belt then if the noise goes away you then know that its that belt causing you the problem.

If the belts have not been replaced recently then this could be the cause of your problem, spray the belt with a spray or even soapy water then give you car a try if your using soapy water make sure you get the whole belt wet then try the car if the noise is then gone you know the belt is at fault.

If you have power steering then low power steering fluid can cause the power steering pump to squeek so check the level and fill it up to the highest mark then start the car and turn the wheel fully left then fully right then back to the middle then check the level again.
Low steering fluid can cause the noise you hear.

If after doing this its not the belt making the noise and neither the power steering pump then the only thing left that could cause the noise you are having is a dry bearing on one of the pulleys now this could be the alternater pulley or power steering pulley basically any pulley that the belt is running on could be causing you the noise you hear.
To stop the noise you need to buy a spray oil or spray lube then give these pulleys a good spray all around where the bearing is in the middle if the bearing gets to dry it can sieze and cause you loads of problems so go and buy a spray lube and give all of the pulleys a good spray at the front and the back try and get it in towards where the bearing is in the middle this should then stop the noise that you are hearing.

you can spray wd40 on the pulleys but remember this isnt a oil or lube it will just stop the noise for a couple of minutes so you could tell witch pulley is causing you the problem your better of buying a proper spray lube and give all the pulleys a spray where the bearing is in the middle this should then solve any noises you hear.

Make sure you check the engine oil level to rule out the noise coming from the inner workings of the engine ok

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok.

Machine makes loud clicking noise when in the spin cycle....tub doesn't spin.

You very well could have a broken belt. Sounds like just your pulley is spinning but not the belt. You will have to remove the rear access panel and take a look.
If belt is still intact, make sure tub and bearigs are not frozen up. Make sure motor pulley spins. You can check power to the motor with a voltmeter.

Heats tub will not turn makes a sqeaky noise when comes on

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Problem 1...Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley.
If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer. Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch. Then remove the top of the dryer.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley. Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
Problem 2...While you have the drum out, you should lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil.
This will possibly solve your noise problem, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.
I will include these two websites for parts and further help:
http://www.partselect.com/
http://www.appliancepartspros.com/index.aspx
Both also have chat assistance 24/7.
Good luck,
I hope this helps
