No. the problem is either your pressure switch or the pressure hose has a hole in it.

Why won't maytag MVWC6ESW go into rinse cycle?

The cold water valve screen in the washer water valve is clogged. You have grit in your water and it will continue to happen until you get a filter system installed on to it.

Roper washing machine does not fill for rinse cycle. Goes directly to rinse agitate without water.

Without Model number I am only guessing but I suspect you have a blocked sensing tube that travels from the Level selector switch to the side of the tub somewhere. It is possible for this plastic tube to become partially clogged and not allow trapped air to vent when tub is drained of water. Usually this problem manifests itself as an overflow of the tub. Check the full length of this clear hose and see if the end nearest the tub looks like it may have debris or dirty detergent clogging it.

This hose is pushed onto a nipple mounted to a reservoir on the side of the tub. Push a thin copper wire 4-5 inches into the those after removing from nipple and also down into the nipple an inch or two before reinstalling the hose to the nipple. You MIGHT even blow into the hose while you have it off and you SHOULD hear a clicking sound coming from the level selector switch body.

Good Luck. Come back with Model number under lid if that doesn't help.

My Maytag Performa washer loves to flood the house!!!!

sounds like pressure switch is bad or pressure hose is plugged or water valve is bad or drain overflowing

When it goes through rinse cycle and starts to pump water out of the machine, the drain pipe fills up and overflows, then it will rapidly drain.

Usually there is a clog or restriction in the stand pipe(drain pipe) causing water to not drain away.....Suggest drain-O products.
If you have a very long drain or the stand pipe is not above the water level in the tub you will want some type of air gap to prevent siphoning.(siphon break kit)

good luck

I have a Maytag Jetclean and it doesn't rinse well

Probably unlikely that it's clogged, but rather defective.

My washer machine is overflowing at fill up and rinse cycles.

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear

Whirlpool Estate Washer will not stop filling.

There is a fill switch that is not being triggered. Find out where that is. The dog hair could be the culprit. This switch is but cutting the tank fill. God Bless John

I have a Whirlpool stacked washer and dryer combination. The water is overflowing on the washer. It happens during the rinse cycle when the water is filling up. It appears that the cycle gets "stuck" in...

check the pressure hose. a kinked clogged or disconnected hose continues to fill. the pressure switch senses the air pressure in the hose.awaiting your further comments. thank you.
