Question about Bose Cinemate Digital Home Theater System Speaker

I need to extend the audio cords for my bose speakers from my woofer. They are in front next to the tv and want them all the way back of my sofa. Thats about 25' more. Can I get extension that long with out massing up my sound?

    Extensions shouldn't produce any noticeable loss until you reach very long distances. The heavier gauge cable (such as Monster cables) will keep even long run loss to a minimum.

Longer runs typically cause a small loss yes. You can order extensions from the company.

My bose pod is not working

hi, First, unplug the power directly at the back of the woofer while the unit was on;

Next, I was instructed to unplug the control pod, visually inspect for any damage/defect;

Finally, re-seat the control pod on the back of the woofer and then lastly plug the power cable back into the woofer.

It worked like a charm. I hope this is helpful!

goodluck

Cube speakers w/ no subwoofer

I have the acoustimas systrem and the speakers do need the sb. That's the heart of the system.
I dropped my two front cubes and neither work. If you would be willing to sell yours at a reasonable price I would be willing to buy.
Please contact Bose customer support and I believe they will tell yiou the same thing.

Please let me know.

I cant adjust the volume on my BOSE 1-2-3 home theater without the sound kicking off. if i switch to aux. or video-2 then back to video-1, the sound comes back on......

I went to the Bose website and they suggested resetting the system:

1) Turn off the system.
2) Unplug the sub-woofer power cord from the wall.
3) Unplug the sub-woofer to control head cord.
4) Wait several minutes.
5) Reconnect the system.

It seems to have worked for the short term. The Apple store told my wife that she had to power down her iPhone once in awhile to give the microprocessor a chance to cold start, clearing registers and such. It may be the same thing here.

Can I hook my TV directly up to Bose 201 speakers?

It depends on the TV audio output connections. Most TVs have low level audio outputs (RCA Jacks) that require a amp but some do have external speaker connections. You will have to refer to your manual or check the back of the set.

Am setting up a bose GSX 3-2-1 home theater

Need to know the TV connections. On newer TV's there RCA jack connection or ext speaker connections. Usually the external TV speaker connections hook to the woofer and the rest of the speakers are connected to the woofer. The woofer acts as the sound system for the rest of the speakers. With this method you need to mute the internal TV speakers by a swiich on the TV or internal TV setup menus and select ext speakers.
