Hi there - anyone help? My K300i (3 yrs old in vgc) suddenly would not charge either by mains or car charger (so not a problem with charger). Phone made some complex bleeping kind of sounds, then would not turn on at all. When I try, the red light on the top flashes, but no sign of life. Could it be that I just need a new battery, or is it something more complex. Thanks in anticipation. Jenny

An in car charger will not charge as well as the mains, when charging for the first time you should use the mains, and charge for at least 8 hours. If it didn't charge correctly, it will be the same low charge all the time, as the battery has a memory that makes it charge the same each time. Try charging from the mains, you might be lucky.
i think there is virus infection to your phone in this case Please Visit your Nearest LG Service center they will do the needful for you & this is the only way to solve your problem. Kindly Visit LG Service center

How old is the unit? On average if used only a few times a week good for 3 to 5 yrs. before no charge at all. As time goes on the charge will get to be shorter and shorter. If used every day and always plugged in 1 or 2 yrs the battery will be dead to almost dead. If the unit is not very old then quickly get it replaced via warranty from the MFG or the retailer who sold it to you. You can get a battery (Probably) from the MFG for around $40 to $75. You MAY be able to find one at www.walmart.com or www.bestbuy.com or ebay or amazon. Beware of the auctions, some bad people sell regenerated batteries only good for a few times then trash. There is a possiblity that the "Charger" is not charging completely. If that is the case then one of two problems, either the voltage is too low from the BAD charger or the "Charge cycle" is cutting off too soon. You can test for low votage easly with a simple and cheap $10/$15 multi meter. The charger should say what "Output voltage" it should have on the unit. If the charge cycle is bad, you need some one with the correct equipment to do a charger test. Walmart, best buy and others carry some generic chargers also. If you know anyone with the same charger (best if exactly same MFG, but exactly the same output different MFG should work ok also), you can use theirs to see if that fixes it, if so you need a charger.
Please make sure the charger is working.I suggest you try replacing it with a new charge and then give it a try.The problem can also be with the battery if it is more than 2-3 yrs old.In this case the problem is with the battery.
So i suggest if the battery is more than 3 yrs old buy a new one and then test it with the old charger and if the battery is not old then replace it with a new charger and try charging the battery.
Hello ! I'm not sure if this solution is helpful, but I know 3 ways to charge it. You can charge the phone by using the charger provided in the package; you just leave the phone until it says something that means its charged full, or fully chargedXD. Umm, if you use the usb, it doesnt mean you have to use the syncing program, you justt connect it to your pc and leave it, thats what i'm doing right now, lol :P third way, you can charge it in a car using phone charger made to charge from a car. If this doesnt help, sorry! But maybe you should go check and ask about the people who sold you the phone or it could be the battery problem in your phone! Good luck thought :)
It very well could be the charging port. As for getting samsung to repair for free, willnot happen. As long as it lasted through the warranty period they are satisfied with the design
With a bad charge port, You have 3 options.
1. get it repaired, warrant if possible 2. Get a new one 3.Get
an external battery charger and charge battery separate from
phone.Another battery and charger will set you back about 10 dollars on
