Are you priming the water lines before you switch on the power?
i.e. with power OFF, hook up hose and turn hose on (doesn't need to have much hose pressure), then take your spray gun or attachment and pull the trigger and allow water to flow through the system (at hose pressure obviously). You might need to gravity feed it if its not flowing through...
But you will generally only get pressure once all the air is removed from the lines and the pump is pushing water only... Once you have water flow and lines are primed, switch on pump and see if that solves it.

If it is running it would burn any oil off the top of the piston. (that got there when you tipped it). It sounds like you carburetor needs cleaning. There are sprays on the market that sometime help with this.

The nozzle on the end of the spray wand has a very small hole in it that can be easily clogged by any sort of debris that comes through the water supply.If the nozzle can be removed, just take a pin & clear the hole from the outside & rinse it off. If the nozzle can't be removed, then take the wand apart at the connector in the middle and do the same thing.

After a long none use, I tried to wash my driveway and powered on the washer,it did, but when i tried to engage the power washer by pressing the wand lever, it did not engage. What can I do to get the power washer working?

If #1 doesn't work, the ports in your carb could be clogged. I just dealt with this problem this weekend. This is a relatively easy fix. Locate your carburetor and find the aluminum bowl underneath. On the bottom of the bowl, you'll find a bolt. Loosen the bolt (gasoline will come out because the bowl is a reservoir for gas, but please make sure you've turned the gas supply off) and remove the bolt and the bowl. Clean any debris out of the bowl. The ports are holes in the bolt you removed. Make sure that air can pass through these holes (I blow through them, but I don't mind the taste of gas too much. Probably NOT healthy. You can use thin wire, carb cleaner, etc..) Reassemble and your motor may start, if this was the problem. Make sure that the bowl seats properly and that you are careful screwing in the bolt, lest you cross-thread it. Hope that helps.
