Fisher and Paykel MW512. Error Code can't be determined. Light 8 flashes as does lid lock light

Hiya, I have a Fisher and Paykel MW512. I can't work out the Error Code from the various manuals online. Light 8 flashes as does the lid lock light. There's a bit of a clunk from the lock function? Any ideas?

Number 8 (spin cycle) and the light above 'on/off' switch. Also labelled 'lid locked'.

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.

first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.

SOURCE: fisher & paykel machine locked but lid is up

select the spin cycle and press start/pause, put a small magnet along the right side, top, approx 2 inches from the front to trick the lid switch (move the magnet forward/aft until the machine starts working). Let it complete the cycle, then try to colse the lid completly.

this sounds like the motor controller cant start the motor. I would be looking at the motor controller itself.
when it's filling with water, does the bowl go around slowly?

When you start your machine is the water just go stop go stop,
Just wait for the machine to display an error code on the wash progress lights and beeps constantly.
It could be the Rotor Position Sensor, out of balance switch or lid magnetic reed switch.
Your error code will determine this.
Is your machine beeping & showing a weird pattern of lights on the wash cycle, It is displaying an error code,
To read this error code you start at the red spin light & work to the left only add up the lights that are on. Red spin light = 1 2nd rinse light =2 1st rinse light =4 last wash light=8 4th wash light=16 3rd wash light=32 2nd wash light=64 1st wash light=128

Mw512 beeps and wont start

The lid switch sounds logical. That would certainly halt the cycle. I'm not sure what actuates the lid switch on your particular model but check it as well. Good luck.

Hi just read your posting.Starting from the left to right if the lights that are on when the machine is beeping are the 3rd and 4th and 8th then the error code is called COLD VALVE FAULTY.This means either your cold water valve is faulty or you control module is faulty.Would you like me to guide you in the testing and isolating the fault and replacing the faulty component? Please reply for further help.Looking forward to your reply.

You have fault code 66 (01000010) Phase 6- Pressure Transducer (Ptx) Error - Frequency >90kHZ. In simple terms you need to replace the main "Motor Control Module" Cheers
