Need to replace all metal brake lines


There has never been brake line diagrams

Very little of value in factory manuals

You don't need diagrams, as your replacing what
is already there

You will be fabricating brake tubing you bought at
the auto parts store & can adjust the routing for ease
of bending etc & still use the original mounting points.

I'm I missing something you want to do?

Can be a combination of things. New cars are easier, plug in a diagnostics tool and pin point the issue. Old car, its replace several suspect parts until you find the root cause.

First check your carburetor settings and test the fuel cut off solenoid fitting to the side of the carb.

If carb ok, check your ignition system. Check the coil, points (ensure its in good condition & points gap is correct), check the spark plug condition and the ignition cables (use a spark tester). If all these things are ok, set you static timing using a test lamp. The Haynes manual will specify the degrees BTDC.

Also it is worth while checking to see when the crank shaft pulley is TDC, the cam shaft pulley is in line. Even a simple notch out of place can cause idling issues.

There could be a few reasons for that happening....It is most likely a FEUL problem. Is it feul injection or carburettor?? If it is a carburretor, then there could be dirt in the jets. You could also have an inline filter that is blocked & not enough feul is getting through to the carb. Another thing that could be causing the car not to start after being running awhile is if the feul line is too close to the engine and is getting too much heat, causing the feul to "bubble" and faporise in the line, untill it cools down. Another cause could be that the float level in the carb is set too low or you have a faulty needle & seat.

I suggest that you consider the tank strainer. The test is fuel volume flow... aside from pressure, the duration is over a 2 or 3 minute period. You will need to create an alernative fuel source, for testing, rig up a gravity feed to the carb...

Typically what happens is good flow initially with diminished flow soon, often due to the strainer in the fuel tank. if you find this dimished flow, Some guys blow it off, but the correct thing to do is drop the tank and clean or replace the filter. Good time to flush out the tank. (That is one cool thing about fuel injection, there is much more fuel delivered to the fuel rail, the fuel gets heated and pushed back to the tank. This heats and circulates the fuel, which helps keep the tank and system cleaner.)

Sorry, without a manual on the device that you describe, I would need year and model, however generically, the device that you describe may be a fuel return or a vapor separator/recovery component.

But the clue for me is that the fuel line is dry....l suggest that the volume test will show your issue.

This plugged strainger condition also causes false fuel pump readings, on the 1st step test of a fuel pump. (you always need to volume test the pump also. )

Deisel fuel getting to injector pump. Feul also getting to pump bleeder. No feul getting to injector lines or return line even as engine is being cranked. Machine is a 530 case construction king. Tractor...


you prabably have an airlock inside the injector lines.
Disconnect two lines and crank again,this will push out the air so fuel can get to the injectors.once the fuel comes out reconnect the lines and it should start
