sounds like something has jammed in the drawer track on the front of the drive is a very small hole that is the manual open override use a paperclip and push it into the hole as far as needed until the drawer opens then slowly open the drawer by hand look on both sides of the drawer to make sure there is no dirt or other foreign matter in the tracks where the drawer opens
Take the DVD player aparts, take out DVD disc out of the drawer, check the open/close drawer button again.Same result indication on the screen say is open infact it close. The motor the help open and the dvd drawer it dead.Need the motor replaced.
Not a lot to go on...
I would expect the unit says read for a while, then opens the drawer.
This is an optic issue. Optics are $$$. If the drawer opens almost
immediately, it is likely the drive's drawer sense switch needs
That happens when you close the drawer instead of pressing the close button you can skip gears and it would have to be taken apart and re-calibrated. Sometimes it is just a glitch that you can over-ride using a straight pin into a small hole on the front (assuming this uses a drawer).
Thanks for using FixYa. Please locate the DVD player’s manual eject button which is a small hole located underneath the DVD drawer. Now insert a stiff wire like a paperclip or safety pin into the hole and push gently to open the drawer. Now pull the drawer gently to open it. Remove the DVD and see if there is a problem with it. Most DVD player drawers get stuck when a DVD is warped or the label is starting to peel. If the DVD is warped, discard it. If the label is peeling then you need to remove the label. Turn your DVD player back on. If it gets stuck again on a different DVD, then the problem may be with your DVD player and you need to have it serviced.
