I tried to find a better one last summer and bought the "Baracuda" (there are several syles and brands like this). It was absolutely useless. It didn't have any moving parts to wear out, but it didn't clean the pool either. Had to constantly adjust weights on the hose to get it to move around the pool. I finally trashed it and went back to the Navigator. You do have to replace a few parts now and then, but nothing works better from what I've seen and been told by a few pool pro's I've talked to.

No filter.

You can clean out the internals, just remove the screws from below and then the pieces will remove and then additional screws become visible, until you have everything apart. Keep things organized and all will go back nicely.

Hayward navigators have a 2 year warranty on their cleaners. The springs, as of now, are not replaceable so you would need to replace the pod kit. This is under warranty.

My Navigator Pro is 3 months old. The pads and wings are in good shape. I have plenty of suction, but the Navigator won't move. I didn't see anything stuck, but the rocking feet will not move. I thought...

You should be able to move them with your hands. If you can't, the only thing I can think of is that something is stuck in one or both of them. Remove the pods(the pieces on the sides) and clean them up including where they go into the body. The cleaner is too new to need any repair. Be sure when you put them back on that you tighten the screws all the way.

You can try "A" frames and a new paddle wheel. If these are bad the suction can be real good and you can get some movement out of the cleaner but as soon as it get's a load on it, it will stop.

It wouldn't hurt to replace the pods (paddles). Also, the wings, flaps, A-frame, turbine, feet(shoes) and the gearbox. All of these things wear and should be done about every 12-18 months, as needed. Before you do any of this, though, try tightening the screw on the pod that's not working. These screws need to be very tight.

The pool navigator has very low pressure, why?

if you have good flow coming from your jets then make sure that youve narrowed down what the pump is pulling... i.e: shut off some valves like your main drain and skimmer line if possible so the vacuum gets more attention from the pump....
if you have bad flow ... try cleaning your filter

I need to know how often and for how long should I use my hayward navigator in order to keep it in good conditions

you can probably run it for four hours a day, every other day or every three days depending on how much dirt and debris are introduced to the pool. that should increase it's service life considerably.

Hayward navigator model #925CS keeps tipping on it's side.

Mine did the exact same thing. It's the hose that connects to the navigator. Replace it!! Problem solved.

The Header Hose becomes brittle and won't bend properly which causes the Navigator to tip on the side or backwards.

My advise is to replace all the hoses. If the header hose is bad so are the rest of them.
