I'm getting a low background noise coming from the tv. Any suggestions on how to stop this annoying problem?

is it a humming sound or a shhhrhhhr sound. humming is interference from the tv, lead may have fell down on to the board near to the transformer... shhhrhhr sound is weak capacitor and/ or maybe a damaged speaker.

If you listen close to the tv it gives a strange noise when the volume is high

Youre more than likely getting elecrical "noise" or interference from a radio or cell tower. Get a quality surge protector, i have one made by Monster and it knocks out the interference.

My Samsung HLN4365 tv made a loud popping noise then the picture went to black and white with a lot of interference in the screen. Also now makes a loud humming noise sometimes

You are likely to have developed a bad color wheel. Do a search on Ebay with your model number or Google the model number. This will give you a heads up if you get a TV tech to fix the set

Samsung P237HD tv/monitor,unit buzzing when on.

I would take it back unless you have time to investigate the problem before the return policy expires.

If the sound is coming from the speakers then it is interference and would likely happen with another TV.

The interference type can be electromagnetic or radio frequency, both of which can be defeated.
Start with plugging it into a different outlet. If that doesn't work, then unplug anything from it one device at a time to see which thing is the culprit. If it is one of the devices, move any audio cords away from power cords and/or position the device further from the television.
Household appliances and fluorescent lighting also can cause signal interference in electronics that is audible.
A device known to help with such interference are power line conditioners from such brands as Tripp lite, and ferrite clamps. You can place ferrite clamps on the power cords of your devices and their analog audio connectors.

Good standing wave but not so good reception

Could be a lot of background noise.
Could be no one near you.
Could be RF GAIN down.

standing wave does not effect receive, it only effects transmit. If you are sitting still some where, you could be in a hole. Depending on where you live there could be a lot of background noise, RF interference. For instance Staten Island is known as "Static Island" because of all the RF interference.

Where you are at, it may be a fact of life.

Seems to be a noisy fan on mb4210 combo

Could very well be the fan. The motors can cause interference. There may be a solution to get rid of the noise. Some copper shielding tape may help. You could rule out it being a microphonic preamp tube by turning the amp on as normal and tapping the tubes with something non-conductive. If you hear the tapping noise coming thru the speakers while doing this to a particular tube, replace it. With power tubes, the tops of them turn white on the top when they become microphonic, along with plenty background noise.

My fender twin has alot of buzzing and hum noise

It is usually caused by interference somewhere in the room. A major source is art CRT such as a TV ot computer monitor. First try turning off any other electic devices in the room. Your could also see if there is a ground lift switch on the amp. If that dosen't do it, you can try lining the cavity of your guitar with tin foil. I t sounds weird but it does cut back on some interference. If none of those work, bring your amp to your local tech and have the preamp tubes tested. It may be that one of them is going bad.

This is possibly caused by the internet connection.
Try new ADSL filter.
You need one each per device.

Background noise

I'm not an expert but I am a daily operator. First check your ground connection, just because the radio turns on doesn't mean the ground is good enough. If this unit is mobile there are several things you can do to reduce the noise. First you need to find out if the noise is coming in thruogh the antena or the power supply; turn on your radio and vehicle, unhook the antena. If the noise goes away or is reduced you know that it is RF noise. this is interference from some outside source, powerlines, TV, just about any thing that uses electricity or electronics can cause noise. relocating the antena may help. Check you antena connections. Check your SWR. This is only a few of the things you can check.

I HAVE AUDIO RECORDINGS THAT HAVE LOTS OF BACKGROUND NOISE. WHATS THE BEST PROGRAM FOR CLEANING UP BACKGROUND NOISE, I DOWNLOADED A FREE TRIAL OF AUDITION. CAN I USE THIS PROGRAM? I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO...

a bit late, only just saw this question. my understanding is that clearing up background noise is a specialist task. if you look at a sound wave it's really difficult to discern the main wave from additional noise. and although its possible to edit out the background of a photograph, that gets a lot trickier with a video if you follow my metaphor. the best most of us can do is open the file in a sound app (i'm on a mac so i use quicktime for this) and find the menu option to raise the volume. Now its absolutely possible that someone has come up with some new software that i haven't heard of yet of course. however good practice is; make sure you record at a good volume to start with- either do an audio test and listen back or set the levels with a headphone.
