Where is the defrost timer in a Zanussi ZNB323W/ Electrolux/ ZNB323S fridge-freezer ? I can't find it?

The timer box is located in the compressor compartment to connect the timer to the electrical components which
defrost the battery evaporator (defrosting heater, thermal switches).

Hi, We have an under-counter freezer (Zanussi ZU9120F) we bought 4 years ago. Before going on holidays we turned it off and let the water evaporate. After our return, we turned it on again but it did...

It could be stuck in defrost mode. However if you can locate the defrost timer pictured here:
You can advance to turn on controls, compressor. If it sticks it should be replaced.

The alarm goes off by itself and the fridge will stop working. switch it off for two to three days and it work again for few days

switch fridge off and defrost it 24hrs. inside fridge remove panel and locate the flap on the thermostat. put something behind it to jar it open about half inch. restart fridge and see if it cures problem. if it does fridge thermostat requires replacing. jaring the flap open is only a temporary fix to diagnose problem. but i did mine 4 months ago and still fine

My refrigerator is freezing inside the cooling section also there is water dripping inside the cooling section

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp and Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Zanussi fridge compartment has stopped cooling but freezer is ok

OR.
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

Zanussi zx99 fridge fault - freeze working fine, but fridge hs stopped keeping thing cool. If we switch off and leave for 24 hours - works fine. I heard something about a pipe that allows recirc. air into...

You have a defrost system problem. When you turn it off the ice melts on the cooling coils so, when you turn it back on it works.

The defrost system consists of a timer, heater, and thermo disk. Any one or all could be bad. If you want to DIY I can give you more details: ronbuice.com

I have a zanussu fridge

Re. Zanussi ZK87/46EFS Fridge Freezer

The same symptom occurred in our fridge freezer. The fridge compartment warmed up whilst the freezer compartment continued to keep temperature.

The cause of our problem was diagnosed as a frozen sensor that controls a flap, that controls the flow of cold air from the freezer compartment up into the fridge compartment. We were advised to power off the fridge freezer (removing all food and trays from the freezer unit first), and to leave it to defrost for 24hrs. We needed to place a few towels on the floor of the freezer compartment to soak up the melt water. After 24hrs we followed the power up instructions in the manual (versions are available online if you have lost yours). Within a few minutes it was obvious that the fridge compartment was being cooled – Problem solved :)

Fridge doesn't get cold enough

If the evaporator fan is not running. The fan itself could be faulty or the door operated light/fan switch could be faulty.

If the evaporator fan is running. The fridge is not defrosting and ice has built up on the evaporator and the air is not circulating properly into the fridge compartment. The fan circulates cold air into the fridge and back through the fridge control which is normally just an adjustable flap which allows more or less cold into the fridge depending on the setting. If the fridge is not defrosting, the defrost timer could be faulty or heater element could be blown.

Zanussi fridge freezer

sounds like the freezer evaporator has iced /frosted up and you will not get cold airflow through it. try a 24 hour defrost to clear it. then check fridge cooling.
