If you're experiencing an "error state" with your Dymo 4XL Label Printer, there are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
Check the connections: Ensure that the USB cable connecting the printer to your computer is securely plugged in on both ends. If using a USB hub, try connecting the printer directly to a USB port on your computer.
Restart the printer and computer: Power off the printer and disconnect it from the power source. Restart your computer as well. After a few moments, reconnect the printer to the power source and turn it on. Wait for it to initialize.
Update the printer driver: Visit the Dymo website and check for any available driver updates for your specific printer model. Download and install the latest driver software for optimal compatibility.
Clear any print jobs: Open the print queue on your computer and ensure there are no pending print jobs for the Dymo 4XL. If there are any, cancel or remove them.
Verify correct label settings: Double-check that you have selected the correct label size and settings in your printing application or software. Ensure that the label size matches the labels you are using.
Check for obstructions or label jams: Open the printer and inspect for any obstructions or label jams that could be causing the error. Remove any stuck labels or debris, if present.
Reset the printer: Locate the small pinhole on the back or bottom of the printer. Insert a paperclip or similar object into the pinhole and press the reset button inside for a few seconds. This will reset the printer to its default settings.
Contact customer support: If the issue persists, it's advisable to reach out to Dymo customer support or consult the printer's user manual for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps or provide guidance specific to your situation.

I have a LabelWriter 4XL with legit labels and driver on Mac. I had a flashing blue light. I had tried cleaning, cycling power, reseating the interface connection and it seemed none of this helped. Then I removed the labels from the feed and re-fed them and the error cleared.
