How's the filter, if it has one - cleaned out recently? Much dust in the airways? Tried setting it into "high altitude" (or simply "high fan speed") mode and seeing if that helps?

Bulb explodes on projector

There is a short or a grounding issue on this projector. It would have to be internal on this one for the bulb to get that much energy and not be able to release it any other way than to explode.

Epson PowerLite 410W projector (used for a smart board in a classroom) won't project anything or even turn on. Power button (maybe lamp indicator light? I don't really know anything about this...)...

It seems you assume that it is not an overheating problem.
The problem is, the bulb gets really, really hot when using the projector. It doesn't matter whether it has been there without any usage. As you switch it on, it will start to get hot.
But the lamp or other parts of the projector should not get too hot. To control the temperature, air is moved through the projector with the help of fans. Air enters through air filters and move through the projector absorbing heat from hot parts. This prevents these parts from getting overheated.
But what if air doesn't flow freely? Then the parts CAN get overheated.
First, switch on the projector and check whether you can hear the fans working.
Next, switch off the projector and remove power cable.
After about 30 minutes, remove the cover and check whether the air filters are blocked. If they are, clean them with a small brush.
This would probably solve your problem.

After it being on for 5-10 minutes, just shuts off manually. Already cleaned it out and replaced bulb. Now what?

It sounds like it is overheating. Check to make sure the cooling fan is coming on when you power it up. Please respond with your findings for further help in troubleshooting.

Is there an exploded view of the TV so I can see what I need to do to replace the bulb fan and also get a part number for it?

The service manual shows the lamp fan as - 8-835-859-11 MOTOR, DC SFF22A/C-NP; INTERNAL FAN ON TOP OF LAMPI do not have a copy of the manual but I was able to pull it up on line. It did not go very well with internet explorer (IE) so I used Google Chrome. The URL is "http://www.scribd.com/doc/16940552/Service-Manual-Kdsr60xbr1" This manual gives you all kinds of good information including what all of the blinking LEDs mean.

Overheating

There are contacts inside the Livingstation that make contact with the heat sensor on the bulb. If you take the bulb out you will see them in the upper right corner of the bulb housing in the TV. These can become corroded resulting in a poor connection between the TV and the bulb. A poor connection will make the TV think it's over heating even if it's not. There are 3 contacts in the TV and 3 on the bulb. Clean these contacts with a lint free cloth and some alcohol on both the TV and the bulb, being careful not to let your fingers touch the bulb. If your hands are too big to reach inside the TV, rub a pencil's eraser over the contacts to clean them. When putting the bulb back into the TV, seat as firmly as possible, then tighten the upper right screw first.

How about the fan? I had a problem where the picture would not come on for a while and I noticed the fan speed fluctuating. There must be some saftey that keeps the bulb off if the fan isn't running. When I finally had to replace the bulb, the problem ceased.
