Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-W5 Digital Camera
THE CAMERA WAS WORKING JUST FINE, I TOOK SOME PHOTOS OF MY CHILDREN TURNED IT OFF AND ABOUT TWO HOURS LATER GRABBED IT AGAIN TO TAKE MORE PICTURES AND IT SHOWED LOW BATTERY AND SHUT OFF ON IT'S OWN. I WENT TO THE STORE LATER THAT AFTERNOON BOUGHT SOME NEW ALAKINE BATTERIES, PUT THEM IN...NOTHING!! TRIED THE OTHER BATTERIES IN THE PACKAGE AND AGAIN NOTHING!! THE CAMERA WILL NOT COME BACK ON AT ALL!!!
I had The Same Problem!
I talked to sony and They Gave me a solution.
Reset The Camera!
To Do This
Turn on the Camera (So it stays on at least)
Press The Menu Button
Go down to Setup 1
Go to Initialize
There should be a menu that says Cancel or Ok, press ok
Turn on the Camera
and It worked for me =)

After talking to Sony, I'm going to throw it away...it's disposable like all digital cameras. Next time I won't spend as much for a camera. When It breaks, It won't hurt so much to throw it away!
