This error seems to be related to DNS. First, see if you have am internet connection. Verifying this can be done various ways depending on your setup and operating system. The quickest and most universal way is to launch another browser (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc.) and see if you can view Google or another common site. IF you can, then it is likely that the proxy settings in Chrome are incorrect. If not then you may have a problem with your network adapter settings or the setup of whatever gear you have that connects your computer to your ISP. For any deeper troubleshooting we'll need to know what your setup is.

ERROR CODE EA21F7

LOTS TO CHECK

Check if the LAN cable has been correctly connected, if the SMTP server is ready for communication, if the network settings
such as sub-net mask setting are correct, or if the E-mail address of the destination is correct.

LAN cable has not been connected, or failed to communicate with
the SMTP server. You tried to transmit the document to an incorrect destination address.

A LAN cable is not connected. Check that the LAN cable is connected correctly. The network of the network multifunction
machine and the PC with the IP address of the destination mismatch.Confirm whether the network settings of the PC and the network settings of the network multi-function machine pose a
network-type problem. The network settings in the PC have
not been set correctly.Check the TCP/IP settings of the PC.
The network board of the PC with the IP address of the destination has failed. Replace the network board or the PC. Power is not being supplied to the HUB. Supply power to the HUB. A cross-type network cable is not being used for Peer-to-Peer connection.
Use a cross-type cable. The network cable is disconnected. Replace the network cable. Network load in the destination PC is
too high. Check whether a mail with large size data is received in the destination PC, or a large file is downloaded from the Web.
There is too much transmission data. If the scan resolution is set high, scan fewer pages. The access is limited by the firewall
(Windows Firewall) of the network connection in the PC.
Consult with the network administrator, and change the firewall (Windows Firewall) settings of the network connection.

If your device is switched on and ready for operation, this can be a problem with the DNS resolution. My psp won't connect to the internet.

first try this step by step guide. If this doesnt work let me know at what step you get an error and what the error code is. Then from there i can specifically diagnose your problem and give you a fix for the error code. step 1 Your PSP will detect any wireless wireless network within its range as long as the wireless
adapter is switched on. The switch for this is on the left end of the PSP, near the analogue
thumbstick. If the switch is in the down position, the wireless network adapter is off; push the
switch into the up position and it'll turn it on. If you're not going to be using wireless
networking it's a good idea to keep it turned off as it'll make your batteries last longer.

step 2 When you turn on your PSP's wireless adapter it'll look for any wireless networks nearby. If
there's another PSP within range it'll automatically set up what's called an 'ad-hoc' network
between the two. This will enable you to play multiplayer games between the two PSPs with one
hosting the game and the other joining it. When you want to join an existing wireless network,
such as when you want to browse the internet, you'll be using an 'infrastructure' wireless
networking mode.
step 3 To connect to a wireless network, go to the home screen of your PSP and look under Settings. If
you scroll all the way to the bottom you'll find Network Settings, so enter this and on the next
screen you'll be asked to choose between Ad-Hoc and Infrastructure, so pick the latter by
selecting it and pressing X. Press O to return to the previous screen. You'll need to set up a
Connection. You can save the settings for 10 different Connections and you can choose between the
Connections you've set up whenever you need to use the Infrastructure network mode.

step 4 Pick New Connection and press X. You can give the new Connection a name by pressing X and using
the text-entry screen. Give it a descriptive name like 'Home Network' or 'University Network' so
you know when and where you can use it. When you've entered the name for your new Connection
you'll be asked whether you want to scan for WLAN settings or to enter them manually; select the
Scan option and press right on the directional-pad. Your PSP will then scan the area for any
available networks and collect the settings needed.

step 5 A list of available networks (called Access Points) will be displayed, giving its name (called an
SSID), whether it's encrypted or not and the signal strength. If there is more than one network,
use the D-pad to scroll down to the one you want to join and press X. You'll be asked to confirm
the settings so press right on the D-pad to scroll through each. When you get to the security
settings, choose the appropriate setting from the list, which is WEP in most cases, and press
right on the D-pad again. If you need to enter the WEP key, speak to whoever runs the wireless
network and they'll provide it for you. Press X and enter the WEP using the text-entry screen.

step 6 Once you've done that you can check the settings you've entered on the final screen and save
them. Now you'll be able to connect to the wireless network. If you return to the main home
screen you can now update your PSP's software by going to Settings and selecting Network Update.
Alternatively you can go to the Network section on the far right of the home screen to browse the
internet using the PSP's in-built internet browser. Or you can fire up that multi-player game
you've been itching to try out and get going!
Now you're online, if you need further assistance or get an error code please let me know and i
will be glad to assist you further. Thanks-Midwest-tek

Brother MFC-7840W won't connect to gmail. DNS resolution error.

I'm pretty sure that the problem (though the machine indicating otherwise) is that gmail requires SSL, and the Scan to Email (server) doesn't support SSL. If this is the problem, you can easily check it out by trying to use some other mail, with another SMTP server, which doesn't require SSL.

CE00 Error code

CE-00 means the copier cannot find the computer or server it's directed to scan to.

The usual cause is that the IP address for the scan destination has been changed by DHCP and the connection info has not been updated in the copier.

To resolve, reboot the destination workstation or server. Or, right-click on the Network Scanner Tool icon in the tray, select Automatic Profile Update, and click on Update Now.

If the scan profiles were created in the webpage and not through Sharpdesk/NST, make sure that destination names and/or IPs have not changed in the profile.

If you are using DNS name resolution instead of direct IP addressing, you must be sure that the DNS server IPs are correctly entered into the web page.

Hope this helps!!

Scan cannot be performed

I also had the same problem with HP Officejet 6310 and after trying all the solutions that I could find on the web, I was almost giving up. Then I found this on HP's IT Resource Center website (author J.Eqbal) and tried it and finally it scanned without the error message.
This error happens only in Network connections.
Get the Ip address of the Printer and open the EWS page by typing i.e http://192.168.1.102...where 192.168.x.x.x is the IP address of the Printer.
On the EWS page click on Network and get the host name and copy it.
go to the following location C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc...inside etc you will find the host file open it using notepad.
Underneath 127.0.0.1 local host
there might be the Ip address and host name ..which will be different from the current host name...change the Ip address and host name ..save the file.
Try to scan...it will definitely work.

"Scan Request Failed"

Problem: Lexmark cannot retrieve applications list

I have the Lexmark X3550 with the WiFi option board installed (makes it same as the model X4550) and get the “cannot retrieve applications list” message on one of the five computers connected to my router (Linksys WRT54G V8) and using wireless printing and scanning. Just like everyone else with a similar Lexmark WiFi printer/scanner, I can print wireless, but cannot get the wireless scanner to work on one of my PCs.

The fix, in my case, was to change the Lexmark network name in their Imaging Studio application. This worked for several weeks, but now I get the “cannot retrieve applications list” message again. I have not fixed the new error yet, but changing the network name may work for you. Here are the steps to change the Imaging Studio network name.

1. Launch Lexmark Imaging Studio. (Double left-click on its icon)
2. Left-Click on “View or change network settings”.
3. Enter a new network name in the first box shown. (This box contained the correct network name for my PC, but another name was needed to make the scanner work. I simply added “-lex” at the end of the current network name.)
4. Left-Click OK. You should return to the Imaging Studio screen.
5. Close the Lexmark Imaging Studio window. (The tray icon should remain at the screen lower right.)
6. On the printer, press the Scan Mode button.
7. On the printer’s display screen, select the Computer Name that you entered for the new network name. Just use the arrow buttons until the exact name is shown.
8. Press the Check button. The display screen should show “Downloading Applications List”. Within about 10 seconds the message should change to “ *Scan to Computer ”. Wireless scanning should now work.
9.. Press the Start Color or Start Black button. “Requesting Scan” will be shown. After a few seconds scanning will start. The process is a bit slow.
10. After a while you may see an empty small Lexmark window onscreen. Later, the Lexmark Imaging Studio will appear onscreen, then change to show many options and features. An image of the scanned item will appear in a Lexmark window. Save and/or edit the image. Another scan can be done by pressing the printer’s Check button again. Be sure the correct computer name is shown on the printer’s display.

That’s it. A new computer name was the solution. Your PC and printer may require a restart (power off) after changing the “computer name”.

Regards,
Fbyrd99
