Question about Sharp CD-SW330 Shelf System

How to turn off demo mode without remote

I got the system for free from a department in my school. People donated a lot of systems and they didn't need them. problem is I don't have a remote and the demo thing is really annoying (esp since I'm using them as computer speakers), and replacement remotes are going for $30+ dollars (which is ridiculous). Is there any way to turn if off without the remote? What about turning off the lighting effect? and changing the bass and general sound settings?

the sharp some models dont put a spacer between the speaker and the case causing the speaker to hit the case at med to high volume you can check this and make you a spacer out of washers on each screw that mounts the speakers between the case and peaker frame make sure that the washers or spacers you use dont contact the speaker core. and dont do anything that will void the warrenty if nothing else let the store fix it.

Sony® stereo systems will enter the DEMO mode the first time you power on the system or if you do not operate the unit shortly after turning on the power to the system.

Got a Panasonic CD stereo system SA-AK410 When I turn it off after a few seconds it turns back on. Is this normal?

That's because you haven't set the clock on the system. I jumps to DEMO mode once you turn it off without the clock set. Clock can be set through your remote. Hope this helps. Cheers.

Sony CMT-MX550i -- I had good results by pressing the "TIMER MENU" button on the remote and simply setting the time. After that, no more demo.

I have a Pioneer XC-F10 Stereo CD Tuner. I keep trying to turn it on and it keeps turning off immediately...?

I Have managed to solve my instant turning off fault. As its been mentioned before, this is a demo mode fault, heres what I did...

Leave the Unit in standby, and press and hold the "system menu" button you should see the words "demo mode" flash up on the display briefly, at this point press the "set" button to enter demo mode selection finally press the "+" or "-" button to turn the demo mode off.

You have to be quick with the remote buttons when getting into the demo mode, might take a few trys.

I'm not sure if this will fix everyones fault, but certainly helped with mine. Good Luck.
