Replaced them only if they look bad, which means the top is rounded.

Inverter black caps

When it have this kind of error is a problem of the powerboard.
Anyway you must open it and look at the all capacitors and if are them inflated, if them are inflated must change them.

But can be a problem with inverters... control the transistors - MOSFET on the powerboard.

Good luck!

Get a replacement cap from your pool suply - they know which one. When you get home - take a pic of the motor with the cover removed. This will serve as a refrence after you remove the cap. It is a simple process.

My lock works for awhile then stops. The beeps sound all the time, then stops locking & unlocking using the keypad. Then a day or two it works again.

Had a power outage. Now my Samsung DVD+CD combo is maing a high pitched whine when I plug it in.

If the unit is now dead or in standby but nothing else the high pitched whine is likely to be a capacitor on the powerboard which has failed, a decent repairer should be able to replace the cap fairly easily although most will just want to swap the whole powerboard out which is expensive.
a capacitor that is whining will usually show itself visually aswell by the top becoming convex rather than flat so if you have electrical knowledge you may be able to identify and replace it yourself although obviously you need to make sure the the unit is not connected to the mains when doing this.

Intermittent beeping

I contacted customer support... they tell me the FAQ information on their own website is incorrect. The opposite is true, therefore the following is correct:
  • If it does not beep, the powerboard needs to be replaced
  • If the unit continues to beep, the keypad needs to be replaced
Here in Canada, they will send you a new one within 3-5 days free of charge. Call customer support:

Canada: 800-501-9471
US: 800-677-LOCK

The woman was very friendly. Great customer support!
