Channel 2 gain is way higher and channel 4 is acting weird too

I have gotten it fixed and repaired. The it was still acting weird, so I had it looked at again, and everything is fine except for channel 2 being louder than the rest of the channels. Channel 4 also seemed to have some problems but it seems to be fine right now.. Who can fix my channel eq problems without me spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars? HELP!

Send it down to Caracas, bro, I have fixed a bunch of these issues.
Seriously, now, I would check and lubricate your INSERT jacks at the back. These become corroded and let little or nothing pass. Peace.

Channel 4 is 10 times louder than other channels why? all gains ect set the same nearly blew my speakers

Try swapping the input with another channel and see if the problem moves. Be sure to set the levels down or you may get your speakers this time. If the problem moves the source is the bad guy. If not check the gain setting, not the slider. The gain is normally the top know on the channel.

My Peavey Mark 3 400 CHANNEL 1 does not put out sound. When you turn the pre gain it will cut in for a sec then out. Channel 2 is good. I checked the readings on the pre gain pot on channel 1 and 2 and...

Transfer Channel 2 speakers to Channel 1 to check if it does put out a sound. If it does, it means that your Channel 2 amplifier is defective. However, if it doesn't,
then your Channel 2 speaker is defective. So, have this checked to find out the result. Defective items needs replacement or be repaired. Send us your e-mail for the result so we can further extend our assistance.

Mackie CR1604 has a consistent click at hi gain

Without hearing the noise or seeing it on a scope, I can't say for sure, but this type of noise can come from a number of sources. If there is a high signal level on one bus, you could be getting some cross-talk from that channel onto the channel with the higher gain setting. Try to track this down a bit by experimentation. For example, do you hear this with NO connections at all, but with the gain turned up on one channel?

Please try a few things to narrow this down a bit and I'll try to provide you with some options.

Thanks,
Dan

Sub+amp configuration

With a single 4-ohm subwoofer, usually the best choice is a 2-channel amp that can be bridged to a single channel. In your case, the sub is rated for 1000 watts. Not many amps are rated for that kind of continuous power into a 4-ohm load. Kicker doesn't list a minimum power rating, which isn't unusual in subwoofer specs. Depending on your budget, I'd look for an amp rated for 300-500 watts minimum; the higher, the better, up to 1000 watts. Most amps will have several power ratings, based on the load impedance and number of channels driven. A typical 2-channel amp might be rated like this: 150 watts x 2 channels at 4 ohms 300 watts x 2 channels at 2 ohms 500 watts x 1 channel at 4 ohms. The power rating you'll want to look at will be the 1-channel, 4-ohm rating. You can look at mono amps, too, but in the power ranges you're looking for, a 2-channel amp will probably give you the best value. However, if you can find a mono amp with a high enough 4-ohm power rating, it would run cooler and might last longer than a 2-channel amp with comparable power. When looking at mono amps, you'll find their highest power output will be at 2 ohms or 1 ohm; make sure you're checking the 4-ohm rating when making comparisons. Speaker outputs blown on 4 channel amp

the outputs should be replaced in pairs, there are 2 to 4 pairs, but you sould only need 1 pair replaced. these transistors typically range between 10 to 30 cdn each + labour, look for 1 to 1.5h to replace & test the unit after repair. check your local repair shop for their rates. good luck
