Toshiba Satellite A15-S129 PC Notebook will not turn on

I have the above notebook and the power light comes on yellow and blinks.  Nothing turns on when the power button is pushed.  I got the green power light to come on and it charged the battery but when I tried to turn the computer on the yellow blinking light took over again and even the green charging light went out when plugged in.  Nothing spins, or starts on the machine.  Just dead.  It died here and there, but now will not come on at all.  Is this the activity of a dead clock battery, or is there a fuse, or anything else that is fixable.

Re: Toshiba Satellite A15-S129 PC Notebook will not turn...

I have the same problem. What I have found with mine is that if I can get the battery to take just a little charge then I can get it up and running. Here is how I do it. Disconnect AC power leave the battery in and start the laptop. As soon as thing start to run I plug the AC back in and it works fine from there on. Now mine is flashing as well now and I have a dead battery and it will not restart. Something I have noticed thought is it appears that the yellow light is blinking a code. This is what I have come up with. I appears to be flashing 323 as the code or could be 2 shorts 1 long then 2 shorts and then 3 shorts.

Anyone know where to find info on these flashing codes.

Your plug in AC power supply may be defective. I had a very similar problem and checked the output at the round plug with a voltmeter and saw that it fluctuated. I found an inexpensive replacement on eBay (about $25 with shipping). Problem gone!

Toshiba a15-129 laptop--Will not turn on. Yellow

Your laptop is having a power problem. There was one Toshiba satellite pro that my friend had, it gave exactly the system fault as yours. And by the time we checked, it was a power problem.

The laptop had one IC that controls both the power and the entire board. If anything happens to that IC, it will affect the whole board.

I hope yours is different, because if it is the same, it will result you replacing the whole laptop mother board.

I would advice that you take your laptop your a qualified specialist, so that the fault will be made know and solution will follow.

I wish you the best.

Hello, Can I install a 512MB DDR DIMM, N mem stick taken out of my Dell Desktop into a Toshiba Satellite A15, S129 laptop? Thanks, RD

You can try, without fear of having your laptop "blow-up".

Turn your laptop off.

Remove the battery.

Physically, does the RAM fit into the RAM slot? If not, the answer is 'no' -- most "desktop" RAM is much bigger than most "notebook" RAM.

If it fits, connect the AC power, and turn the computer on.
If it beeps wildly, or does not beep at all, the RAM is incompatible.
Disconnect the AC power.

Remove the RAM.

Re-insert the "old" RAM.

Re-insert the battery.

Reconnect the AC power.

Do a Google-search for "RAM upgrade Satellite A15" to find sellers that sell compatible RAM.

DC power light is blinking orange on my Toshiba Satellite a15-s1292. Nothing else is working.

In general this indicates a problem with the power supply, this a very difficult error code to decipher unless you are familiar with hexadecimal code. I suggest you contact Toshiba Technical Support.

Toshiba laptop does not run, just amber light blinking

Did the computer ever work? Have you checked that your memory is properly seated? Remove the bottom plate that reveals the memory modules, pop both loose then back in. Try to restart. Is the battery fully seated?
