How do i change to extra dry heat on bosch dishwasher she4am

Bosch dishwashers do not have a heated dry option, the water is heated with a inline water heater but it does not have a heating element to dry the dishes. Make sure that you use jet dry and that you open the door when it is done, after an hour or so the dishes will be dry. This is a common issue with the Bosch dishwasher, but not a problem with the unit

Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) Maytag dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these. Hope this helps...

If you are using a quick cycle there is not a dry cycle included due to the short wash. Ensure you use rinse aid even if you are using a product that includes it, as this assists the drying cycle by breaking the surface tension of the water and allowing less water to 'stick' to the load. Check that you have the machine set to the use the rinse aid and that the intensive dry is on. This can be done by following the instructions in your manual.
Extra Dry Heat
With this option you can raise the temperature of the rinse water and increase the drying time for improved drying.
This option is only for units with a display. If your unit has a display window, please follow the instructions below.
NOTE: The unit must be powered OFF before activating.
To activate:
Press and hold the left "Cancel Reset" button, then • press and hold the ON/OFF button.
The model number I think should read SHE55M12UC/60.

Just placing a fiberglass batt over the cabinet exterior will quiet it down considerably. Use some thin synthetic cord to tie it in place so that it doesn't crawl off from vibration. If still noisy, remove the door interior panel and check for any insulation there. If there is any appreciable gap at the sides or top, you may need to staple insulation around the interior of the cabinet opening. I'm surprised that they were that lax in noise suppression. check the top of the cabinet after the unit has started to wash the water droplets is the key. if you see water droplets on the very top all over then the unit circulation pump is working. If that checks out then check the jet dry compartment. here is a trick.
open the compartment door, fill compartment until it cant hold anymore liquid,close compartment door,lower and raise the door 3 times,open compartment door check to see if you fill with more jet dry,repeat this process untill it cant take anymore.
what this does is removes the air out of the compartment. this will last for about 10-12 washes. last thing is to turn your faucet water on until it is the hottest then start your machine. use cascade soap and no tablets. when you use tabletrs with jet dry the machine over suds, the rinse aid compartment or dispenser is vidal to drying,cleaning spots and film. hope this helps.

you have to make sure the water temp going into the machine is correct. let the water run for about 2-3mins then start the machine.

i would check to see if you are using the factory drain hose or if you have extended the hose to reach the sink drain.
the only other thing that might cause this would be a restriction in the hose at the drain pump outlet, but check the drain hose first.

You said, Your Bosch dish washer won't work. A number 1 is displayed on the electronic panel.

If it is displaying"01" then that means the extra dry setting is being applied!
Did you try to use the extra Dry setting?
Did the dishwasher work before this or is it brand new?
What is the model number and year?

Below is and example of the usage of 01 or 00 in a Bosch Dishwasher!

Extra Dry Heat

Try using just the rinse aid in the tablets, don't put anymore rinse aid in the dispenser(This may take a while for it to empty) this should help with the drying.
failing that look at manual that will tell you how to put the extra heat programme on
